Its fucking great, threadgill is just so fucking unique. also in this group he made his drummers tune so between the two of them they had al 12 pitches, makes the band sound huge. Fred Hopkins is an incredible bassist.

this - I saw Lloyd live last year, so no surprises to how this live album sounds
I like some of his playing - especially those breathy runs he does, but overall it's pretty average

What is /mu/ opinion on him?
Couple years ago i used to smoke a lot of weed and i was really into his stuff. Well i stopped smoking year after that but i still kept listening hiss stuff but it started to be uninteresting and same so i stopped. Today i started smoking again and i put his stuff on and i was amazed. It just sounds so much different than sober and their flow combined to those beats is just so dissociating. Is their music better when your high because they make these while they are high? And can someone really appreciate it as it is if they are not high? inb4 DUDE WEED.
