The 80s had a very strong and defined sound. I just find it baffling that it died out so quickly. I mean even Japanese composers today are still continuing the 80s sound, but you never hear it in the West.

Killing Joke are easily one of my favorite bands of all time. Amazing consistent discography. I like this phase in KJ's career when they went a little New Wavey. Night Time is simply god tier and as the above comment says Brighter Than A Thousand Suns is good too. This didn't end well though as they then released Outside the Gate which is Killing Joke's worst album mostly because Geordie barely played guitar on it. After that they said fuck the mainstream and got nasty and intense again. Maybe the only band that got more angry as they aged.

This album is another great by them. 2003 s/t.
