Never thought I'd see the day
so I paid this guy $600 to design a cover for my new math rock album, I told him to "go crazy" and "experiment a little" and this is what he sent me.
what do you guys think? Would this album cover turn you off? I'm not sure how to feel about it.. I mean I spent 600 fucking bucks on this thing and it's kinda cheap looking. not sure what to do.
>>74265657
I like the minimalism. Wouldn't pay 600 fucking dollars for it. Maybe 50.
>>74265657
nice repost loser
>>74265711
As a graphic design artist myself, I can tell you a lot more time went into this than you might assume. That said, it definitely isn't a $600 job. I'd say $300-$400 if it were my work.
ok /mu/, wtf did i just listen to?

The Beach Boys Love You by The Beach Boys

Music players are /mu/ related, what're the best music players for android? The sticky only covers Windows/OSX/Linux applications.
>android
>>74265545
I use mxplayer.
>>74265587
I've used iPhones for a long time and decided to switch when they removed the headphone jack. I've only had an android for like 6 months.

this is not metal
so what
I don't think anyone will disagree
It's got one metal bit but overall yeah
Was compiling a list of oft-used/recurring Radiohead words/phrases akin to the one for NIN on its wiki (other than the typical shit like "river", "shadow" or "black", "gun" appears a surprising amount of times; "Nowhere to sit without a gun in my hand", "W/ a gun and a pack of sandwiches", "Words are saw(n/ed)-off shotguns" to name a few) and came to acknowledge something I think I'd realised but never thought about before:
"You/Your/You're/Yours[self]", "I/Me/My/Myself" appear so frequently in Thom's lyricism. I mean WAY more than any other artist I know, from the very first word spoken on Pablo Honey, "you", to "you do it to yourself, you do" to "this is what you get" to "you can try the best you can" to "you and your cronies" to "dance you fucker" to "I'm taking you down when I go down" to "I will shape myself into your pocket" to "You really messed up everything"/"Just happy to serve you/"Have you had enough of me?" et al.
With that, a lot of "us/our[s]/we[are/'re]/the[y/ir/y're/m]" but it's not nearly as frequent as "you" and "I" or "me".
Actually got sidetracked finishing the list (words like "it, is, the, of, be etc." are obviously excluded) just tallying up the number of yous/derivatives of the word appear in Radiohead songs.
Thom is EXTREMELY directional with his writing on a level that is insane.
isn't there some research suggesting that the more times you say 'you' in a song the more people like it? sure i read that somewhere once
>>74265170
I don't know. All I know is that there are some crazy chains with the words and that in hindsight it's difficult to find a Radiohead song without it (even EIIRP has that one bit.
One day I'll get to YOU
And teach YOU how to get to purest hell
YOU do it to YOURself YOUyou do
And that's what really hurts
Is YOU do it to YOURself, just YOU
YOU and no-one else
YOU do it to YOUself
>after some "I", one "my" and two "you"
YOU used to be alright
What happened?
Did the cat get YOUR tongue?
Did YOUR string come undone?
List goes on and on, so while I've not seen that research, if it's true, apparently Thom did, and apparently it's very old research.

Link to this? I'm curious (never heard such a thing).

Why are their singles more memorable than their albums? Have ever they produced a album on the same level of Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt. Peppers, Led Zeppelin IV, The Doors, Revolver, Exile on Main Street etc?
Their first four albums are pretty solid
>>74265955
I can't name one
>>74265036
They made ridiculously catchy singles that anyone could enjoy, and radio stations could play the shit out of. But their actual albums have these weird as shit deep cuts that really cool if you're into interesting music, but completely lose the casual listener that just wants something upbeat and fun on in the background.
Queen is sorta one of those "bands for musicians" that just happened to keep banging out pop gold in-between weird sprawling prog songs.

its aoty because there have been no good albums released this year so far.
>Despacito
>man from the colonies pronounces it "Despasito"
Literally nothing wrong with this
The way Spaniards pronounce the c is retarded, it should be pronounced as an s

>Rovell and Wilson met when she attended a Beach Boys concert at Pandora's Box, a Sunset Strip nightclub, in October 1962 with her sister Diane and their cousin Ginger Blake, who was dating Brian's then collaborator Gary Usher. Wilson and Rovell began dating when Wilson was 20 years old and Rovell was 15 years old.
How did he get away with this?
>>74264278
Hi Mike.
>>74264278
Almost any famous person could get away with it back then
if dubs, Brian dies before Christmas
