"The person I spoke with was Annie Clark. You might know her as St. Vincent. [...] Something was up as soon as we were connected. I was told twice that she could not hear me, it was a bad line. The line was fine. In fact I doubt I've ever had a clearer international phone line. Thrown off a little by the insistence that the line was bad - when I could hear her every word, as if she was calling from next door -I battled on for a bit.
[...] My series of conversation-starters were met with a giant yawn - it was almost a comedy-yawn. It felt forced. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. It was, after all, early-ish in the morning for her. She muttered that people should just read Wikipedia (thoughtfully I've provided the link for you, as I often do). And told me that she could not hear once again.I asked her to tell me about her collaboration with David Byrne. She replied that, yes, she was collaborating with David Byrne. I asked how the album was coming together, when it would be released and how she and Byrne had met. [...] She ignored me. There was silence. I asked her to clarify the writing/recording process with Byrne for the new album. Were they emailing tracks to one another, or meeting up to jam, were they writing separately and then sharing or writing together? "Oh, who has time to jam, come on, don't be ridiculous!" She added a faux-shriek of mocking laughter. I thought I might offer a laugh and realised it would be wasted.
I politely thanked her for her time and apologised to her for the fact that she couldn't hear me [...] I did this because my cue to get off the phone came in the form of a second yawn - this one louder than the first. No apology, no attempt to catch herself, or excuse herself, no reference to the fact that she yawned. - just a very rude statement that she was trying her hardest to be difficult; her mind was made up that this was a waste of time and she would not be enjoying it. "
What THE fuck is her problem?

Pleb bands.
I'll start.
Whatever your favorite is.
We talk about songs that are copied/ripped off a lot but what about full albums that feel eerily close to another album?

template just in case you want to meme :)
These don't sound anything like each other.
probably my favorite band, they have an incredibly loose playing style while still maintaining this wicked flow in their music.

i think they're good too
This band is amazing. I would honestly love to see a live album or an album in which they don't really go under a concept (even though that's fine and has boosted their creativity). Something that's just really jammy and more instrumental, their last album got really bloated with the concept
King Memezard and the Lizard Meme

music for this feeling

I have it too but it's not like literally seeing stuff behind my eyelids. its more like I involuntarily picture different textures/shapes when a certain sound is played. the neat thing though is that the sound-shapeforms are consistent- like I always see the same one for a violin, etc.
interestingly enough one time I compared some of the stuff I saw to another guy who had this and we both had really similar shapes/colors for stuff

any type of blues

stop posting this. It's not that uncommon and it's not beneficial in any way either

ITT: Artist with very polarizing music (love it/hate it fanbases)
I'll start with the lovely Joanna
seems like everyone at one point was on board with this girls stuff, and then recently like 60% of people got off board while the other 40% doubled down on their fandom
it clicked
an 8/10 tbqh
>>74295986
The cake is a lie
Unironically 1/10, Creature Comfort is the only song that isn't shit. The rest of their discography is 9/10 minimum.
>>74296096
we don't deserve love isn't bad either
the rest is absolute cringe
Post a respectable mumble rap album. I know some of /mu/ can appreciate ignorant shit
>Inb4 oxymoron
young thug
>ignorant shit
As in the artist is ignorant to how shitty it is?
Because that's just rap as a whole
>>74295938
Had insanely good trip while listening to that album (rs2). Can't listen to swang without getting that sunny feeling. Also oxymoron isn't mumble rap.
>>74295991
Young thug puts out a good track every now and then. I like family don't matter and Kanye west
more like this? I'm talking baseline driven post-punk with really simple but really fuckin groovy guitar melodies
