when this guy gonna get binned like mac demarco. dudes made the same track over and over again for at least 17 years, with the occasional pseudo classical pisstake thrown in off course.

shut up richard locks himself in a basement made out of modular synths and only emerges once in a while to die for our sins
Oasis is obectively a one hit wonder. Wonderwall is their only popular song and most people don't even know the band behind it, just the meme status of the song. If you say anything to the contrary you're retarded.
>>74331886
Who cares they are already the best band in the world.
Nigga, I literally heard Champagne Supernova on the radio driving home not even 30 minutes ago (albeit a heavily edited version that cut out the first 30 seconds, the 15 guitar bit between verses, and faded out when the guitar solo started which cut off the last 3 minutes of the song).

It's simply not true though. Sure they didn't crack America, but they were an essential part of the cultural identity of 90's Britain. They had the sound and choruses to crack America but their loutish behaviour and unwillingness to adapt like The stones or U2 did ensured that it wouldn't happen. But all this made Britain love them more. In a way they are the quintessential British rock 'n' roll band. Sure there's not much smart about their music, nor a lot of things to like about the Gallagher brothers, but they had the catchiest choruses and appealed to the lowest common denominator (Definitely Maybe is a genuinely great album tho). Ask any american who the most important artist of the 90's is and most will say Nirvana, ask any British person and most will say Oasis.

Nothing, the spoken word bits don't mean anything or add to the album

are you memeing or you don't drive / live in a city?
>pull up to gas pump
>kid skateboards over
>hey mister ill pump your gas for ya
if you say yes they will ask for money when done.
price varies based on how much of a sucker you look like.
it is implied that if you dont pay you will have a pack of aladdin-tier kids with nothing to lose bum-rush your vehicle.
the correct response is to not make eye contact, remain silent, and just start pumping the gas yourself.
Because that's by far his most famous (and because Big Iron was on New Vegas). Plus, he has nearly 50 albums. What other album of his would you suggest?
Because he is now not a well known artist -- care to educate us?

Michael is the best.
Why isn't more post-rock this original and inventive? This has its flaws, but there's so much more going on here than the crescendo core that makes up most post-rock. There are of course bands that do crescendos well, but I would love to hear more post-rock that shakes things up more structurally and sonically.
I used to predict we'd get a 4th wave that would be very experimental and strange, but I'm starting to doubt that. The post-rock YT channels upload basically every new album that comes out and maybe 10% are listenable
>>74331201
First wave post-rock was great tbqh. Second wave alright, and everything after shitty crescendo-core with band names like "The Truth of All Mankind and Unity in the World and Universe Dissolves as I Touch Myself"
>>74331201
Post-rock in the 90's were great. We had unique bands like Moonshake, Disco Inferno, Stereolab, Bark Psychosis, Slint, Tortoise etc.
Then the 2000's came and Godspeed you! Black Emperor got popular. They favored predictable crescrendos and melodramatic hooks instead of interesting song structures and creative sounds. Now for some reason every post-rock band wants to copy them (especially Exposions in the Sky, god I hate that boring ass band) thus the term "post-rock" became dull and tame.

Do you think he's disappointed he was never made an official member like Atticus Ross? He's been the guitarist since the Downward Spiral days.

I dunno, it frees him up to do other things while nine inch nails isn't touring. I would think that makes for a good position to be in. I mean let's face it, the guitar parts of nine inch nails aren't not the most complex things ever and he's a legit talented guitarist.
