Kinda feeling Aphex Twin, but I'm not too familiar with his catalogue. Any suggestions? I'm going to bed soon

Fuck off and listen to Kid Rock instead of Kid A
mixing general talk about some of the things you do when mixing i.e. compressing,eq, and fx.
>never use a ratio above 4:1 when using compression
>cut frequencies in the bass that clash with the transient of the drum
>cut low mids on the kick
>look for any really loud sibilant frequencies and cut them by 6dbU or more in things like guitars and cymbals
>automate acoustic instruments so individual strums are louder and punch through the rest of the mix
>if you have multiple guitar tracks use panning to free space where needed
pretty cookie cutter mixing techniques buts that all I can really offer in a short post
mixing is for fags
>>74347456
A tip for you, when working with guitars put a notch around the 4k at about -6 to -12db it really kills that annoying buzz especially when the guitar is distorted make sure the bell is thin like you're doing a sweep
Which band is more shit?
>>74346957
Coldplay, because they pander to the emotionally shallow teenage snapchat dog filter type of music with the excruciating chipmunk bullshit in the background.
>>74346957
Coldplay, because U2 actually has a few good albums.
u2 was actually good at one point but coldplay has p much always been boring
>contrary to popular belief, the lyrics of the song Help! were not written by John lennon, and are not about his unhappiness about the constant Beatlemania touring. They were written by his wife Cynthia, that wrote them in an attempt to cope with the constant domestic abuse suffered at the hands of her celebrity husband. Lennon found them one day and, after smacking her for having to dare to take an artistic initiative, wrote a song to be sang along that poem. Witnesses have confirmed that, in the following years, Cynthia suffered severe panic attacks every time she heard such song
That's nice and all, but did you know that John Lennon beat his wife?
>>74346866
big if true
>>74346996
I never heard that. I only heard that John Lennon beat his wife.
