Zappa was the only one sober, he didn't take drugs, he despised drugs (according to him)

Why dont people like country music? Country music is awesome.
>>74373468
because people are only exposed to the terrible country that gets played on the radio/tv
Country hasn't been good for like, 40 years at least.
>>74373468
Is John Denver country?
Why is modern classical so shit? It sounds like confused noise.
Who's fault is this?
We all know (((who))) is behind this. Post WW2 "art" was a mistake.
sorry you guys are such terminal plebs
>>74373371
Bach sounds like confused noise. It's just random noodling with no rhyme or purpose. Get a bunch of random instruments going up and down scales and you get a Bach piece. Classical music only started getting good when Mozart was invented and realized you need real melodies to make good music.

Grimes fags need to realize that just because she doesn't sound like anybody else, doesn't mean she innovated or originated any new genres.
I don't know anybody that sounds like Will Toledo, and I know for a fact that nobody would claim he originated any genre

>I don't know anybody that sounds like Will Toledo, and I know for a fact that nobody would claim he originated any genre- 0 post shown.
guided by voices
You can actually make that case for Will Toledo for creating the bedroom indie subgenre, or at least codifying it.

>Grimes fags need to realize that just because she doesn't sound like anybody else, doesn't mean she innovated or originated any new genres.
You contradicted yourself. If she doesn't sound like anyone else, that means her product - her music - is original, hence innovative. She created something that hasn't been done before. She's innovative, like it or not.
how is this possible???????
its prog, p4k hates prog
if they rereleased it today it would be guaranteed at least 7.0 since they're minorities and that's more important than the actual music
>>74373340
I know, it should have been a 1.0
>>74373340
somee jackass at pitchfork didnt listen to the record and then typed "2 . 0" on his keyboard.
How can a fucking melon be this wrong? Spending more than half the review comparing the sound on ''Slowdive'' to the old albums. It's easy a 8/10 and probably the AOTY.
>>74373338
>"you know is his opinion, right?"
>keep give a shit about his opinion
Arguably their weakest release. No one would give a shit if this were anyone but Slowdive. And what happened to the songwriting? Mojave 3 was a decent project, this album sounds like something straight from an adult contemporary/soft rock station.
>>74373338
He's wrong about this alubm but I totally respect him for having had an original opinion about it, I had always thought he just was a mouthpiece for the most common opinions
>Kurt Cobain kills himself after Nirvana becomes too big for him to handle
>following Alice In Chains' rise to being one of the biggest rock bands on the planet, Layne Staley becomes a shut-in and spends 8 years isolated in his apartment, obliterating himself with drugs before finally dying
>Soundgarden break up at their creative and commercial peak; they eventually reunite and release a couple of lukewarm albums before Chris Cornell kills himself as well
>Pearl Jam freak out about being too popular and go on an autistic boycott against music videos and Ticketmaster, fucking up their career in the process
Why were grunge bands so shit at handling success?
>>74373305
I don't think they really wanted success in the first place, it just sorta happened.
>>74373305
AIC > Nirvana > Soundgarden >>>>> Pearl Jam

Why is OP so shit at posting on 4chan?
The Ramones' only major UK hit single was their cover of Baby I Love You, reaching number 8 in the charts.
>>74373293
The Ramones got their name from Paul McCartney's usage of the name "Paulie Ramone" as a pseudonym for when he booked hotels.
Cannibal Corpse often has to release two different covers for each of their albums; one uncensored version and an alternative, censored cover for certain countries in Europe and Asia.
