of course
anco - mpp
yes
I didn't go to work for a month
I didn't leave my bed for eight days straight
I haven't hung out with anyone
If I did, I'd have nothing to say
I didn't feel angry or depressed
I didn't feel anything at all
I didn't wanna go to bed, and I didn't wanna stay up late
Id drown all these crying babies
If i knew their mothers wouldnt cry
Id hold them down and squeeze real soft
To let a piece of myself die
You didn't see my valentine
I sent it via pantomime
While you were watchin' someone else
I stared at you and cut myself
Its all I'll do 'cause I'm not free
A fugitive too dull to flee
I'm amorous but out of reach
A still life drawing of a peach
I'm a tulip in a cup
I stand no chance of growing up
I've made my peace I'm dead I'm done
I watched you live to have my fun

I only know Current 93 and Mark Kozelek but I think I need to check out Death in June now. Where to start? Is it pretty dark stuff?
why does jazz attract more music snobs than any other genre? it's literally just endless wankery that people trick themselves into thinking that skill is needed to even appreciate it. jazz fans can never get past coltrane and miles davis and shun any new jazz artists trying to break into the scene. besides the only good jazz is smooth everybody loves Raymond type anyway
When jazz stopped being popular it retreated into academia and schools to survive, and i guess some of the fans are elitist about it.
There are a lot of high school jazz band programs were they still have that type of thing
Jazz was the Prog Metal of its time.
I am a jazz fan and I'm not an elitist AMA
What is the consensus on Andrew W.K.'s body of work.

You mean smarmy?
I just discovered his music, and I'm unsure of how to feel about a lot of it. As someone who struggled with depression for a few years, some of his feelings and raw emotions strike a chord within me, and I see him as an underappreciated genius. I'm curious as to what other people think...

As musician, he's objectively shit. But there's something about him that always brings me back.
It reminds me of Gummo.
>>74374701
>As musician, he's objectively shit.
Why would you even feel it necessary to state this. Yes, he may be an objectively shit musician on purely technical terms, but there's so much more to art than technical proficiency. All of it more important, imo.
>>74374456
You see an artist you just discovered that has a lot of work you don't know how to feel about as an underappreciated genius?
I think he's pretty good. Not underappreciated, not necessarily a genius but definitely deserves what recognition he receives, probably more.

Me too.
