Can you recommend me a good turntable setup for 500 to 800$? I'm a little clueless on what to buy for a decent listening quality. Pls no crosley funny jokes
Where do you live?
Your best bet is to go vintage. A lot of vintage equipment from good brands (e.g., Pioneer, Technics, etc) will blow the living shit out of modern stuff under $1000 for A LOT cheaper.
The Debut Carbon you posted is a solid modern table, I would completely avoid the U-Turns and Audio Technica LP120s (for the price of a new Audio Technica you could spend a little more and get a real Technics SL-1200).

I live in France, I do have old hardware my father used for his setup too, a reciever (dual CV 1080) and Kef 015 speakers. They both need a little repair, so I don't know if it's worth it

The Debut Carbon looked good, it's the first I looked at when I begun searching for a turntable. But this brand is quite representative of how confusing searching a good turntable is; the debut line has 5 different version, and costs the same as the essential line, wich has 4 different version. All this material is quite expensive, so I'm quite scared of taking the wrong decision

how many of you fags actually play an instrument? I bet it's actually pretty few - no one who does would be so pretentious and insecure
choa plays the guitar
>/mu/ is pretentious
lol
>>74423437

So how does it make you feel that rock and metal are two most popular and discussed genres on /mu/? Is /mu/ a rockist place?
>>74423246
Unsurprised, thought that was pretty obvious.
rockist is someone who listens exclusively to albums, it has nothing to do with liking rock
you moron
Rockist does not mean "liking rock".
so I've been writing poetry and think I finally laid the groundwork for a song. heres the lyrics
no one will answer your prayers
until you take off that dress
no one will hear all your crying
until you take your last breath
but you will learn to mind me
and you will learn to survive me
Your father before you and your sister too
Your husband, blah-blah-blah-blah, you hoo hoo
[Crying/hopeless yelping]
what do u guys think?
sound whiny as fuck
So touching
I should call my mother

rock
electronic
noise/non
pop
>>74422910
We like certain things and we want more of the exact same thing.
reminder that
>psychedelic
>krautrock
>post-rock
>progressive rock
>hypnagogic pop
aren't real genres
Is this the worst electronic subgenre?
