Best albums of 2017? I've missed so much.
This
I don't usually post here but I was wondering what /mu/ thought of the song by XXXTenacion "I spoke to the devil in Miami"
https://youtu.be/THdie-5vC-s
[Intro]
It will all be over soon
[Verse]
And I’m always where the
Sun don’t shine, the
Tears don’t show, won't
Hurt me now 'cause
Heart's been broke, I
Hate myself but
It won't show, I
Constantly lose all
My remorse, and it's
Ten for the wolf and
Three for the shepherd and it's
One for the sheep who
Led by a leopard, often
Gave his perception as a
Handle of weapon, took a
Bite of your apple, give me
All you can offer, now I'm
Trapped in a changing maze
Setting my soul ablaze
Couldn’t control the pace
Where is this going? Hey
Heartless is recklessness, it is
Word of a pacifist to
Word of a masochist, I'm
Off of the map, my Lord I
Spoke to a baphomet, he
Said he would save me if I
Gave him one thing he needed
What is this thing I pleaded?
Boy, it's the key to Eden
Yeah

>>74227861

>>74227892
nae worth it for me anymore tbqh. don't really care about snagging leaks early or hoarding music much anymore. spotify sub probably has something to do with that. if i want something not on there/early leak i'll just get it from funkysouls or googlefu'ing
Now that it's been over a year, why the fuck did Katie Toupin leave Houndmouth (mid-tour nonetheless).
Fucking women, this band was the next huge fucking thing
>Leave AOTY to me
>abstract, random patterns you can't dance to
no thanks
Shit sounds like the doctor who theme
>>74227747
>muh post-african repetitions

Currently jammin' to this beauty of a song:
Our song is a slammin' screen door!
Sneakin' out late tappin' on your window
when we're on the phone and you talk real slow
cause it's late and your momma' don't know
Our song is the way you laugh
the first date man I didnt kiss her when I should have
and when I got home before I said amen
Askin; God if he would play it again.
Which do you like better? Old Taylor or new Taylor?

The recording quality on this album sounds like shit

Are there any artists that sound anything like failure? Their guitar work sounds amazing to me.

Fantastic Planet is the definitive 90s grunge/alternative rock album. Most critics usually call Failure "your favorite band's favorite band"
You might enjoy listening to Hum. They're very similar to Failure.

It maybe not the best comparison, but it reminds me of Wavves.

the feel of the song and the video reminded me of this:

His musical decline is easy to explain and defend.
He is now focused on fashion, and has a family to look after.

this narrative falls apart when you realize yeezus and tlop are his best works yet
when you stop being 16 this will be apparent

>coping this hard
You!

>wasn't even alive when their best albums were released
Not a fan, just a hipster

what
What do you think about this and similar "tribute" albums? Personal favorites?
whats the secret to making a critically acclaimed album?
I think i can write good songs but i want to make an album that goes down as one of the greats
whats the trick
>>74227497
Essentially make it just noises and screaming and say the word nigga a lot and call it "experimental hip-hop". Worked for Death Grips.
>>74227497
What genre do you do?
write about dead jewish girls
One of my favorite releases of the year so far
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ9JVxQVQy4&ab_channel=CodeOrange
I love them. My favorite release is embrace me/ erase me.
>>74227492
i dont really like this album that much in all honesty i prefer i am king
Kind of lost interest but I saw them live a couple times and enjoyed it. Their old stuff like Cycles and Embrace Me / Erase Me is also good, different from the moshcore of I am King and Forever.
Let's say I got a number
>>74227436
That number's

>>74227445
Fuck it it was worth a shot
That number is 50,000
