I have a short-to-mid-term goal of playing flute in a prog band and over classical recordings through my stereo. I don't currently have enough cash to buy a flute that isn't one parents of some middle school band kid posted on craigslist, and I don't yet but will soon have a job, so I'm debating between just buying the slobbery piece of nickel or spending more than a dollar on a decent recorder and practicing on that until I can afford a piece of silver, spending the rest of my dough on CDs and such. What do you think, /mu/?

stick it up your ass and play it instead

Stick what up my ass? The $1 recorder I have now that sometimes gets stuck in the second octave even if you're completely covering the thumb hole, the chinese-made 'silver-colored' flute I may buy, the $20 dollar recorder I may buy instead, or the Captain Beefheart box set I'd buy with the money I save?

i dont know much about buying one but i do know that being good at recorder doesn't translate to flute.
whenever you do get one maybe you should try checking out this channel for practice. although the videos are a bit awkward, i think she's a good teacher
Why can't he make a single phenomenal album?
All I want is a record to finally reflect how unbelievably capable and intelligent this man is.

Bored cellist, will record and upload any short bits of (written) music posted. Also AMA, I've been learning 16 years
How hard did you find it to learn? Once I have the money for a cello and time to practice I would love to learn it. I played clarinet in the school band in middle/high school but other than that I have no real experience with music.
Favourite cello piece?

I learned since I was very young and played every day, you will make progress depending on how much you play and how well you practice. My best tip: listen to good players and learn your scales
Is Chromatics still /mu/core?

New Björk album when?
Honest question /mu/, has the quality of film compositions gone down since the 60s 70s and 80s? I have found a website online that allows me to listen to morricone and piccioni soundtracks, and to me the soundtracks are much more interesting and varied compared to modern soundtracks. And many of these amazing osts were composed for softcore porn and mediocre art movies. Am I wrong or missing anything? Anyhow, this thread is discussion of old soundtracks, so post your favorites. To start, I would recommend piccioni- swept away.
What kind of genre is this and where do I find more

Post rare Mikes
The red pill is Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne (post Tha Carter III) , the blue pill is Jake Paul and Charlie Puth. Chose wisely.
>>74229253
I'd rather shoot myself in the head than listen to any of that subhuman trash.
>>74229253
Red pill, late Bieber music is kinda boring but listenable and I'm sure Lil Wayne has a couple of gems under his radar

Subhuman is correct.
