that just means you dont need a nursery rhyme to learn to not burn your hands or try to eat fire or not to swim with a full tummy or not to jump of a tall building.
doesnt really mean you have any musical intelligence at all.

Are these two records actually Bowie's best? They're definitely his most experimental with the most raw creativity, but are they his best? Which one is better?
Heroes
Bowie's actual best and his most underrated project.

Eno wrote everything
Every time Arcade Fire releases a disco album about how much Win Butler hates Instagram, a puppy dies very slowly and painfully from being bludgeoned to death by a disappointed Pitchfork employee.
Is that what you want, Win?
Have you ever noticed patterns in your own behavior, health, life events, etc. and the effects on the experience of listening to music? What factors influence change in response to musical stimulation and related preferences?

When I feel down I play pet sounds at low volume on repeat with no lights on.
>>74240267
Though I am almost always down.

Why are you almost always down anon?
What's better /mu/ to listen to a few artists you love or a lot of artists you like
A few artists that you love with a passion
A lot of artists I like.
As of late, I've been keeping up weekly with new releases (both albums and singles). To that, add me listening to an acclaimed record I never heard almost daily and revisiting old favorites often. Altogether, my listening experience has just been "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks". I feel that if I get stuck into absorbing the same music, it doesn't allow me to see criticisms of it and judging other records fairly as well.
Gotta keep exploring outside of my comfort zone, or else I become one of you circlejerkers.

I prefer keeping track of artists I love, but I definitely listen to more than just those said artists. If anything listening to different things helps you appreciate different aspects of those few artists
What do you guys thing of these dudes? I just found them out and they seem really fucking weird and I don't see the appeal. Have you ever seen these people before? I'll link the song that I found one of the members from:

Pic related, it's Bladee
Just another example, almost 1 mil views:

I'm a fan of Bladee, Thaiboy (the other rapper) is pretty bad. The production is almost always on point. If you're interested, try listening to Bladee's debut, Eversince
Avoided listening to this for years because I fucking can't stand dwarfs but it's actually really really good, why is microcastles the "mucore" album that always gets talked about on here when this is atleast 3 times better in every regard?
>>74239944
>implying this is better than microcastles by a large margin
>>74239980
it's at least three times better
>expect a dreamy pop masterpiece
>get some dude's demo tapes instead
Times that /mu/ tricked you general?
>>74239924
I went into Ariel Pink/APHG expecting something between Sufjan Stevens, Bowie and Joan Didion. I didn't get that, but I'm really digging his works right now. I've listened to BT, WC and Doldrums like 20 times already.

>grimesfags
What the fuck was his problem? Why was he so gay for Beethoven?
Woah, what's this guy's deal? Does he worship Satan or something?
He removed his own spinal column so he could suck his own dick

MISTER CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE MY LOVE HAS GONE
WHY WE LEAVE
WELL ENOUGH ALONE
I just got back from th Hans Zimmer live concert in Boston.
It was amazing.
What are your favorite movie scores?
So I guess film scores and composer general thread.
>>74239594
The fact that one of the blurbs is about the visual aspect rather than the music itself says a lot desu
>>74239865
And what does it say about it?
To have lights flashing, loud pyrotechnics and a smoke machine while you are playing famous film scores (memeorized might I add) takes a lot of skill. It impressed me. They sounded just like they do on the movie soundtracks.
