To those making music - what kind of reception do you get playing live?
I ask this because currently in a local band that's basically starting to "get the wheels rolling". Usually 2-3 offers a week from touring bands to open at bars around our home city, 25-100 bucks a week from album sales, getting the occasional press, etc.
Now, the reception I usually get playing live is people coming up and telling us how rad we are and how we blew them away and usually selling some CD's in the process. So I guess I'm asking the more veteran musicians who had some success - is this a good sign, or all just meaningless?

Not gonna get into details, nor am I going to tell you my story. but just know as of now I have started to begin learning to produce music. I got logic pro, and a new guitar.
my main question to you all here is basically this. what is a relatively easy project I can do as a beginner?
like do I just start making melodies? should I focus on making hooks? what is like numero uno of projects that I could do?
Now remember, I asked about projects, not practicing scales. like a small, from start to finish something that I can be proud of doing.
