Are the terms "leftfield electronic music" or "LFDM" a more astute term to refer to the music by the likes of Autechre, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher et all than "intelligent dance music"? Do those producers require such a term to describe their stylistic aesthetics? Knowing the term "intelligent dance music" is somewhat pretentious - which implies the said greater or superior in intellectual scope in contrast to other styles to EDM, the term "leftfield" doesn't have such sentimental connotations. "Intelligent" is an opionated whereas "leftfield" is speculative. The term can also better serve as an umbrella to encompass all EDM or all electronic genres in general which have a more 'progressive' or 'experimental' edge to their compositional/production aesthetic.

>Elvis and Priscilla met on September 13, 1959, during a party at Elvis' home in Bad Nauheim, Germany, while he was serving in the Army. Despite her being 14 years old, she made a huge impression on Elvis with her much older appearance. Elvis allegedly regressed to acting like an "awkward, embarrassed" boy-next-door figure in front of her. However, by the end of the evening he had managed to compose himself.
Why the heck do people think this is normal?
He was 23 and she was 14!
