You can hear it clearly in https://youtu.be/xM1b8wGJ-Ww?t=14s
You can faintly hear it sped up and in the background in https://youtu.be/e4pXN3OzWRs?t=32s
why is this shit site being shilled so much
I don't know but I enjoy the cataloging and rating albums for the fun of it.
cause it's not shit if you search in e right parts and you can actually discover obscure good music on it
I've seen some trolls on this board repeat the claims of popular music industry rags and their compatriots suggesting hip hop is increasing in popularity due to things like its place on the charts. You realize how stupid this is, right?
Rock and other music did not decline in popularity, it simply exists outside the scope of the big record labels, as does most music. This is the trend, and has been for several years now.
The music industry has latched onto hip hop because it has less of an underground presence. Yes, underground hip hop obviously exists, but its popularity is not even close to the popularity of underground/indie rock. Hip hop fans are generally stupider people who are less adventurous but also poorer. This makes the genre ideal for music execs to parade about as the "new" pop. This way they don't have to compete with the well established indie rock scene.
Make no mistake though. Hip hop's "popularity" simply represents a slightly larger share of an increasingly smaller pie that the entire music world has already left behind.

Name one culturally relevant rock band from the past 25 years that isn't Nirvana.

This. It's the same reason McDonald's now advertises primarily to the ghetto.
Starting with the 70's because the 60's will devolve into just the same 3 albums being spammed.

There are no baroque pop albums worth listening to that came out after the 60s.

Any recommendations similar to Weather Report? I recently discovered Jaco Pastorius and really want to delve into the realm of music. Still very early on, and still stuck on basically only listening to Weather Report (as in literally nothing else) for the last week or so. I've found Marcus Miller and Christian McBride but I need more of this.
Pic related is my favorite so far.

Great record, OP.
If you're looking to get into more fusion, try Billy Cobham, Bob James, Hiroshima, Ramsey Lewis' later work, Oscar Peterson, and more
Brand X and anything else with Percy Jones. He's going to be your other favorite bassist.

People here don't even know a lot about The Who; I'd be surprised if they knew about Rod Stewart.

It's because there's nothing more to say about it; it's simply a great album
Tomorrow I am flying from England to Australia.

I wonder how /mu/ will react when Grimes will announce her next album. Anyway, Bjork is about on the same level of popularity on /mu/ as her "enemy", Grimes. Of course outside of /mu/ Bjork is far more popular and mainstream.
>incredibly tight performances across a variety of instruments
>haunting vocal melodies
>able to pull off complex rhythms and time signatures while still sounding lush and dreamy
Are there any other bands like them? They have always been a thoroughly satisfying listen. I feel like they get lumped with other 90s alt rock and dream/noise pop, but they seem to be able to throw more technical skill into their souund than others
Also, favorite albums? Pic related for me
they're commies
