>As a result of the concert removals, Mr. Bungle parodied the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Pontiac, Michigan (coincidentally the home state of Anthony Kiedis) on Halloween of 1999. Patton introduced each Mr. Bungle band member with the name of one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, before covering the songs "Give It Away", "Around the World", "Under the Bridge" and "Scar Tissue", with Patton deliberately using incorrect lyrics. Mr. Bungle also satirized many of the mannerisms of the band, mocking heroin injections, deceased guitarist Hillel Slovak and on-stage antics.

I'd have gone with thick as a brick personally, but that's a good choice too
So guys. Where's a good place where I can find just a ton of really obscure, yet amazing gems of albums? I am looking to have a big collection, and I just want a ton of stuff that I can listen to one by one. You don't have to list a ton of them, but if you'd tell me where I could find a big list of them, that would be cool.
Some of my favorite big collections of weird albums have been the chart spammer ones in the chart thread, this one chart called "doc brown's recs". It could be anything obscure and interesting; like jazz, avant garde, noise, ambient, microtonal, classical, outsider folk, weird rock music, cute twee, obscure overtly queer bands, strange world music; anything weird and cool and interesting like that.
Pic related is just my chart.
Discogs man. You can just look through tons of releases by genre. Happy hunting bro.

I never figured out how to use discogs to find music. One of my favorite bands in my top 10, the cherry icees, I look at it's tags and I just see "Power Pop, Punk, Rock & Roll". I doubt that would give me queer kawaiicore lighthearted pop punk music in droves. I doubt much else like this band exists in the first place anyways.
I'll give you things I like off the top of my head
Iamthemorning - Lighthouse (the other two albums are also good)
Agent Fresco - Destrier and A Long Time Listening
Jardin de la Croix - Circadia
One Dimensional Band - Plastic Age
65daysofstatic - We Were Exploding Anyway
Vetusta Morla - La Deriva
I could elaborate or add songs but I'm on mobile right no so feel free to check them out
Why did everything go to shit for Baroness after this album? Listening through Red / blue and then going to the two newer albums is a sad experience

sludge meme ended
I'll start with pic related. When I say most overrated I mean the largest gap between actual talent and stan-base.

At first I thought it was his worst 60's record and now I feel like life is literally better with this album playing in my head.

Rockband is a good thing
What are Brick And Sportstar doing on this album completely random in the whole genre and general feel of the album, They kind of ruin the flow, Brick is an aggressive industrial loud hip hop song and Sportstar is a Frank Ocean like song. They aren't bad songs just pretty random and kind of ruin feel of the album.
Still a pretty good album overall though.
I only have a problem with Brick, this song is numetal-tier trash
what was he thinking about?
>>74362030
He was thinking about how he knows that you're lying.
Brick is a banger. Sportstar sucks, I hate when Alex uses autotune. It's not good. Overall a pretty good album like OP said though. The first half is good but the second half drops off hard.
>>74362030
I prefer Sportstar to brick, I just think it's pretty random in the general feel of the album. It would be better as a stand alone single in my opinion same goes for Brick.
What are some songs rom 2006 that best represent the end of the early 2000s?
Dismemberment plan.
Strokes.
Primitive Radio Gods.
Pinback.
Godspeed.
