Welcome to /mu/, now get out.
God, it's like you can tell why he's depressed just listening to his lyrics. His insipid thought patterns in the lyrics of his music are threatening to make me depressed just listening to them. It's like he's trapped in 2000s emo song lyrics, you even hear him talking about how he spent his childhood in the mall and just does tons of drugs.
It's just funny to listen to though, I really enjoy it ironically. That's not to say I'm saying anything bad about Lil Peep, I actually like the guy. I think he's not a menace to anything, his music is kinda so cheesy that it's enjoyable, like a really crappy Z list horror movie. I admit too, I really like his visual style, he's a cute guy.
See how badly cropped that is? Wasn't done by me.
He is trash.

i like him i havent heard the new album though

why are you on /mu/, dad?
How do I get better at vocal melodies?
>>74404257
It's always the most difficult part of songwriting for me, but I have as a rule to never "settle" for anything because I want it to be perfect. Sometimes I'll just sit down and listen to the instrumentals over and over with a guitar in my hands (it's easier to remember playing the notes instead of just humming/singing them) and just pick random single notes at a time per syllable and eventually I'll find something that I like. Sometimes I start with the rythm of the vocals, which gives me more inspiration of what the melody should sound like and I go from there.
Take an existing vocal melody and modify it enough so that it doesn't immediately sound like the original.
