which modern composers that are in vogue now will be totally forgotten?
is that mark kozelek
Indie "classical" composers for pop listeners like Steve Reich, Philip Glass and John Adams
Einaudi.
That piece of shit isn't even classical, he's repetitive piano fluff, and yet music plebs are constantly requesting his shit be played on Classic FM.
What are some cheap/inexpensive must have guitar pedals? So far I have a Big Muff but I'm looking for a delay pedal primarily but i'm open to whatever.
Ibanez makes a nice DS7 distortion pedal that you can find for $20-30 used. It's loud as hell.
Boss DS-1 is good if you want a light Distortion pedal. Don't let anybody tell you it's shit.
You need a DS-1 type distortion, and some soft booster/overdrive pedals to boost the sound of your Muff
These are all the distortion pedals you need, besides them, get a delay, flanger and a cheap EQ pedal that can also be used to boost certain frequencies in front of distortion/fuzz
I own a Muff and a Fuzz Face copy, and besides those a Digitech Death Metal that's complete and utter trash, but produces a lo-fi saturated sound that's perfect for harsh noise

If you dont mind using digital and youre looking for a bunch of pedals in one, get a bitquest. Its kinda pricy but good if youre not looking to get crazy stacking effects
It really depends on what sounds you want to make
DD6 is the superior model btw
is it always possible to separate the artist from the art
It's never possible. Something you should perhaps strive to do just never achieve.
I just want to say i'm so, so sorry, all cuck people are responsible for Lorde's thrive and fall, we have to do better. i'm sorry.

Jesus christ I'm never buying anything from that whore
Steven Wilson released AOTY for 4th time in a row, how does he do it?
mostly by pandering to plebs and deaf people
everyone's too busy on Facebook while my boy Steven's pushing out one AOTY after another
By having autistic sad boy fans
I'm looking for more euphoric, pleasant ambient music. I've started DJing recently and want to play stuff that's welcoming, warm, optimistic etc. I've downloaded a load of stuff like Biosphere, Marsen Jules and Loscil, and they have some amazing tracks but a lot of it is quite dark and unsettling. Here are some examples of what I mean:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PE50PZG5aw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prZAwMlnXOY
https://youtu.be/-vcZHZJPBa0?t=1064
(the whole album, but particularly the track "Fantasy Breeze". Vaporwave stuff is welcome)
I'll try and think of more tracks to start this thread off and for reference.
Thanks in advance!
think stuff that makes you feel optimistic about the future

What is your favorite Byrds album?
What are your favorite Byrds songs?
Who is/are your favorite members?
Any favorite Byrds books, videos or articles?
Favorite Bootlegs or unreleased material?
One of my favorite 60's bands. Been digging this song a lot lately https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuLI6B7AU-M
Great band. Mr Tambourine Man, Fifth Dimension, Younger Than Yesterday and The Notorious Byrd Bros are all top albums.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq_kWvh6G7o one of my favourite songs by them. I love the guitar that comes in towards the chorus
I cringed at the sight of those sunglasses already at the tender age of four. It's substantially worse now twenty years later.
has mac demarco and the countless other youtube recommendation-core killed the demand for guitar-driven music?
more so the latter.
everyone of these kinds of songs sound so fucking derivative, and lacking in any actual depth. i can't even enjoy them on a surface level because of just how much of them of are alike.
what will the next actually good band sound like?
cause i really doubt it'll be like this.
I think metal will get big again.
I think that hipster black gaze post metal thing could do with a booster shot.
You know like deafheavn, liturgy, ghost bath type of shit. I would also think it would be cool if there were a thrash revival and the thrash revival and blackgaze slowly merged together.
And like metal would become like Metallica meets my bloody valentine
But thats all bullshit i day dream about.
I would bring rock back as sort of prog rock meets vaporwave, meets transhumanism, meets cyberpunk fashion type of deal. They would also exclusively use digital guitars
I really don't get what the thought process behind most indie pop-rock is. Are they trying to be as boring and "chill" as possible? Surely as an artist you want to make something sort of interesting? Do they think learning guitar automatically makes them worth listening to
>>74524416
"No."
