>In her version, the protagonist will be a woman
Women were a mistake
nothin personnel, kid

ree women out and all that aside,
what directing credentials does she have that makes her a good choice to direct an adaption of this acclaimed novel?
There's nothing wrong with that as long as the actual film is good. It's one of my favourite books but all the adaptations I've seen suck ass
This is the best Black Sabbath album
Prove me wrong
I wholeheartedly agree with this. Under The Sun is fucking incredible
I love Master Of Reality most.
Changes, no thanks. That's not my proto-doom metal Sabbath.
I am interested in giving MBDTF a try bc many people put it as Kanye's best album, but I was wondering if there was a specific reason why. Also, is there a context/lens that I should listen to the album through to appreciate it more?
first off, in general coming to mu and asking questions like this is not a good idea most of the time, youre just gonna find memes
mbdtf is a great album primarily for its production and maximalistic tendencies straight from the firls track, almost every song feels huge, grand, and powerful. also, kanye isnt the best lyricist in general, but it could be argued that this album is his peak, which certainly doesnt hurt
i dont think you should necessarily be searching for a context to appreciate the album, but it came out after the whole "lel kanye is an asshole xD" meme really was ingrained in the public opinion and was kind of a second wind for his career as a whole
hope this helps

OP I'm not sure what you mean by listening through a lens to appreciate it more.
No context needed.
MBDTF is mostly appreciated when you account it as Kanye's "Comeback record". Prior to this album, he lost his mother, he had the grammy controversy, he had a break-up, and 808s and Heartbreaks was some sort of break for his discography.
For this album, the production and the number of guest artists involved is HUGE. You have old school rappers (Raekwon, RZA...), newcomers at the time (Pusha T, Drake) and friends of Ye (Jay-Z, Rick Ross...) as well as unexpected ones (Elton John, Bon Iver...). You also have a variety of emotions on this album: maximalist productions (All of the lights), powerful piano ballads (Blame Game & Runaway), and boastful Rants (POWER).
To be fair, it's not my favourite album of his, but I appreciate the cult it gets.

>African Night Flight
lodger such an underrated album
See they brought him back on TP? Was secretly hoping theyd have somehow filmed some new footage before he died but it was still cool. Was that an actually scene from FWWM or deleted/unsued stock?
Also can someone explain Ziggy Stardust album for me? I don't get why it's consider his best and a GOAT... has a few great songs but overall its like the weaker parts of Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane combined
Can we stop praising this Chad pop fuck?
I've seen a lot of threads of people taking OUT songs to make albums perfect, but what about albums where ADDING one or more songs would make them even better? B-Sides, stuff that was cut off and used for other albums, or even just songs from other albums that fit the sound/themes/whatever of this one?
Pic related, I would put the "title track", the B-Side to The Widow, either at the very end or between Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore and Cassandra Gemini. Especially considering how it ties the entire album's story together, or at least tries to.

Frances the Mute as track 1 is the way it should be.

It's a field recording so yeah it's music
Most if not all famous rappers /mu/ loves admires or at least respect Eminem. Why is he so hated here?
I agree his choices of beats aren't the best and a lot of his songs have very little replay value but I can't deny dude's talent.
He's not as good as he's made out to be
His fanbase is shit
He's shown he can cash-in on his potential on a few occasions, but he's also released a lot of objective shite
Mainstream hip hop is a giant circlejerk. Almost every famous rapper has the same top 5 and the same non-critical reasons for their placement.
First 3 records are good and very entertaining
But that was because he was an excellent satirist, very funny and very emotive
All of these overly complicated rhyme schemes and cheap wordplays he relies on in recent years do not play to what made him genuinely appealing in the first place
LCD Soundsystem dropped a new track called “tonite”. Thoughts /mu/?

NEW DOOM
I'm so salty the flute is the same volume as it was in the leak. Shit is so annoying.
Is Onyx or Rodan back or is Doom just using the name for himself?
>album ends with artist putting down guitar and walking out of the studio
Hate this shit, breaks the immersion. I cut dumb shit like this off the ends of tracks after the first time I listen to them
Is that how ITAOTS ends
>>74586796
name TWO (two) albums where that happens
When do you think the new album will be out?
Maybe it's my schizophrenia but Beyonce and Robert always look horribly reptilian to me in this photo

Why does Andy look like such a faggot here?
Who even is the guy next to ride and why does he look so photoshopped in?
>Eww, you still listen to rock music?
Not really, I only listen to brotzmann, ornette coleman, albert ayler and schoenberg

Trick question, cause I'd never stand within a close enough proximity to that thing to ever be able to hear it speak.
