Shit
what is your genuine opinion of this album, /mu/?
>>74590827
great album, tyler's best work, very little filler if any. top 3-5 albums of the year
>>74590827
fucking amazing
wow those reason presets sound perfectly adequate
Albums with fantastic drumming from start to finish
There is no better alternative
all of their albums post 2014 in general, for a band that is generally lo-fi they really focus on the drum tuning and it sounds great.
ITT post albums where the artists turned pop, but it actually turned out pretty well

/mu/ is just a stepping stone for musical exploration. The "essentials" are set up as just that, stepping stones for expansive genres, these albums and artists are usually the most popular to give inexperienced listeners a respect and want to explore said genres & styles. After those initial essentials, it's entirely in the hands of the listener to explore the genres and go beyond the list goes on tier artists and albums.
I remember these threads from 6 months ago.

I thought /mu/ was the patrician board where all the experts and ''patricians'' hung out?
Why is pic related so big amongst childless women, and teenage boys with mommy issues?
Why is shitposting so big amongst jobless retards and mental invalids?
>>74590392
she appeals to pedo women
>>74590392
She will bring them together in a huge disgusting orgy.

Explore the genres and styles you enjoy.
A good portion of these albums are incredibly influential in their respective. Except for maybe Sufjan Stevens, Have A Nice Life and Death Grips.
However, while these albums are influential they aren't actually the best of their genres, so enjoy exploring.
thoughts about my boys here

Saturation 2 AOTY
they are very good but a good portion of /mu/ doesnt want to admit it
Swamp was poppin', Junky was better
lmao they made an album out of a tshirt logo
>>74590275
This information is not accurate. There was an album called Unknown Pleasures by a post-punk band named Joy Division nearly four decades ago. That album had this art as the cover. Many people wear t-shirts with the album art on it, for it is a well-liked design.
>>74590275
Lmao fuck
what is that thing anyway? mountains? sound levels?
I don't get it. I don't think it's a bad album, but it seems like a step backwards. Revolver is the closest the Beatles ever got to really being "experimental" and it sounds like a major step forward from Rubber Soul. This just sounds like conventional pop music. Title track is a banger, though.

Revolutionary studio techniques
Rubber Soul = Revolver > Magical Mystery Tour > Abbey Road > White Album > Sgt. Meme
>>74590198
Revolver had those too.
John Cale > Lou Reed
>>74590139
Yes
also see Vintage Violence and Fear for further evidence
sterling morrison > nico > lou reed > john cale > maureen tucker > andy warhol
