Is live music performed on instruments a dying thing?
>>74582902
haha yes :) those damn millenials!!
>live music
still dont understand this, its a shitty and expensive way to experience music. Is it entirely for the pussy?
>>74582902
No, if anything it's the only medium where that sort of music is still successful
what does /mu/ think bjork's best album is? bjork is pretty highly considered on here as an artist but no specific albums are very highly regarded in her discography (or at least that ive noticed.) also bjork general i suppose
>>74582827
homogenic, but vulnicura has really grown on me too and debut punches above its weight too
>>74582827
Homogenic. It's not her most diverse album but in terms of quality, it's her highest.
Personality for me it's:
Homogenic>Debut>Vespertine>Post>Vulnicura>Medulla>Volta>Biophillia
>>74582827
Homogenic, followed closely by Vespertine.
/mu/ - fuck normies I listen to experimental music
also /mu/ - the fuck is this avant-teen poseur shit, it's not even music
also mu - Good Morning Good Night is a great album and a classic in its genre!
>>74582759
Turns out /mu/ is not a single entity but consists of thousands of users, all with their own unique taste. Yet I don't go making pointless threads about this revelation.

Do normies like chart music
Or do they like it because they think other normies like it?
I don't like Chart music it is shit on my opinion
>>74582691
It's a bit of both. A lot of people listen to it because they feel they're supposed to listen to it, but most chart music is quite accesible and therefore stuff that a lot of people like. Many don't know any better and don't really realize there's music outside of chart music and the most famous classical music.
>Many don't know any better and don't really realize there's music outside of chart music and the most famous classical music.
i was just like this when i started high school, and i did like some chart stuff, but to a much lesser extend than what i started to listen after. as a whole, i feel like everything was muted down: i liked some artists a bit and disliked some other artists a bit, but i just didn't know enough music to have a strong feeling about any of it.
i feel like a lot of adults never cross that line and continue to occasionally listen to stuff they just barey enjoy, because it's there and everyone else is doing it.
What do you guys think about movies OST? do you listen to them generally or you just dismiss them (or simply prefer to listen to other stuff)
What are some interesting movie scores you heard? I really love pic related, also really love Henry Mancini's stuff.
I listen to a ton of Ennio Morricone, mostly obscure movies i've never heard of though. I don't listen just because I like the movie.
this is amazing

I do this but I actually watch the movies they're from. 9/10 times they're not very good.
Why aren't you listening to this masterpiece right now?
>>74582666
because when i ordered it from amazon like 3 years ago they never delivered it. also nice satan trips.
>>74582666
Still on that Bombshell and Baby Capone, that's why. Life is a Battlefield is priceless.
*deletes Ha*
DRINKING ALL NIGHT
GOT INTO A FIGHT
I feel soo broken
i want to go home
SO...
Hi everyone,
i have a special request for you guys.
I've been living hell for a long time now, and i plan on finally killing myself tomorrow.
I just want to listen for some cool stuff before going.
I'm looking for specific stuff, i don't know many songs like this, but i'd like to make a full playlist to listen to.
I'm looking for stuff similar to :
if i had a heart - fever ray
murder your memory - title fight
i like the whisper/melancholic singing, slow and deep instruments behind, etc...
anything could help, thanks to anyone willing to help

After death there's NOTHING are you sure you just want to disappear and never feel anything? Never hear you favorite music or music that you could like but never had the chance to listen to it? There's nothing after death.
>>74582417
And I'm not even kidding, there's fucking NOTHING after death, there's no such thing as soul, you just disappear like you never existed.
>>74582494
OP here, i don't want to explain the reasons i want to do what i plan on doing, i just want to enjoy the only thing that made my life bearable, i just want some music to listen to before i just disappear like i lived :
> like i never existed
>reminder that Wolf Alice is the greatest band of all time.
>>74582190
I heard a song by them in HMV, shazamed it and ended up buying their album.
They're okay, but not the best. Silk is there best song.
While I agree that it's far from the best album, I see tons of people avoiding it like the Plague. I for one, find Killers and Fear Of The Dark far inferior.
>>74582163
>Killers far inferior
Absolutely horrendous taste, Killers is arguably their best album.
>>74582225
Not at all. Iron Maiden is much better than Killers. The songs are ten times more memorable.
>>74582163
Some songs are good, but none of them is actually memorable.
>Killers
What the fuck man?
does anyone else think these shoes look like 50 cent?
>>74582132

i don't have a dulcimer but i found the transcription from Joni herself that also includes a chord arrangement for guitar.
So i'm using that as a base to write some kind of arrangement
>>74582126

This is unironically better than DAMN...
I can't tell if Lil Peep did brilliant or if Kenny fucked yo big time

Are there any live videos of Sun Kil Moon shows from 2017? He's done a few and I'm very interested to see how he's performing the tunes from Common as Light / 30 Seconds
There's none on youtube as far as i can see, anoyne been to any of the shows?
