i just listened to this band for the first time. it really impressed me, i feel better about myself that i'm listening to this and my peers aren't. i still feel bad though that this whole board already knew about this bad while i just knew 5 minutes ago. how did you guys find this band ? i want to be as good as you guys
>>74583447
Gained interest after watching Blue Valentine, but majority of the board know them as p4k royalty.
Was this the original Kid A?
How so, Oppie?
The original Kid A was in fact Kid A by Radiohead.
What you posted is actually the original Sgt. Pepper by the Beatles. You probably uploaded the wrong image by mistake.
>Ian Watkins
>Jimmy Page
>Pete Townshend
>Gary Glitter
>Jerry Lee Lewis
>Elvis Presley
What is it with rock and pedophilia?
Wasn't Brian Wilson's first wife 16 when they got married?
>>74583300
Pedophilia is attraction to prepubescent girls.
16 year old girls are disgusting. Just thinking about fucking one makes me want to vomit. These men should be fucking drawn and quartered. 16 year old teenage girls are basically infants and aren't attractive to people over 18 in any way shape or form.
What did they mean by this?
:^)
Meme band for the meme kids
that aint death grips
>He unironically says "It's their Sgt. Pepper" to describe an album
holy fuck dude just delete this thread... how new are you
I say that when i mean an albums shit
This sure is a "sgt. pepper" kind of thread
Hey guys,
Do you know any bands/artists that mix Gamelan/other southeast asian traditional music with western styles?
I can think of Arrington De Dionyso, who i really like.
Thanks in advance!
Sun city girls.
there are plenty
i can only think of a few though
Harry Roesli
Indonesian Prog Rock with Gamelan thrown in
i'm a 24 yr old guy who still enjoys plebeian hardcore/metal albums with breakdowns (that i used to listen in highschool) and fantasize playing them in front of people i wish i could impress. what does that tell you about me ?
i'm also really drowned in escapism which i like to watch videos of stuffs i want to buy and fantasize owning and using them and picturing the whole lifestyle i would have with using those stuffs, and fantasize being with people i wish i could belong to, usually related to stuffs i wish i could have. what does that tell you about me ?

>>74583135
The fantasise about playing music most people wouldn't be into in front of them to impress them thing is weirdly common. I wonder where it comes from?
Also you're probably depressed, bored with a ton of things you used to enjoy, not all that good with any instrument. Probably watched Fight Club and really liked it when you first saw it, but you're not really into that kinda thing anymore, and you're unsure of what to replace 'fuck the system' with in your life.
Name a more underrated musician/songwriter..
Protip: you can't.
>>74583095
Plus he was a better singer.
>>74583095
Randy Newman is a walking cliche with no depth or range, btw. Should have stuck to novelty tunes.
>>74583186
Sail Away....has no depth
holy fuck IDM is better than i thought
i listened to pic rel 2 days ago before sleeping, and while i was conscious i was analyzing all the sounds and it really felt like my brain was dancing, and when i started doing it subconsciously, and was almost asleep (i remember it like half-sleep), i started having visions in my mind in the rhythm of music, it looked like 2d pixel games/animations, and when there suddenly was louder sound something unexpected, it was all still moving to the rhythm, it was very interesting experience. and no, i've never been doing drugs
That was the most autistic thing I've read all week
I mean the show will probably last no longer than 1 hour, so is it worth it?
Is Dead Cross worth seeing live?
Are you excited /mu/?
>>74582975
I thought "I Am A Nightmare" was an album and didnt bother listening to it
Fuck im dumb
In that case yes I guess
>>74582992
>I thought "I Am A Nightmare" was an album
>>74582975
so is it called Fifth Album or not?
Anybody know how Fair Use act or Parody law or whatever might protect me in sampling some audio?
I've got a friend who's asked me to make some lo-fi hippity hop or similar for an ad on his "commercial use" new youtube channel.
Any feedback is appreciated.
>>74582963
google might unironically be a more helpful option than /mu/ , or look for a /prod/ general
>>74582978
Maybe I haven't looked hard enough. I can try again. Thanks for advice.
>>74582963
There are organisations you can speak to, I tried it but they represent the people you want to sample so they may not be too helpful. Maybe ask youtube? Or speak to the people you're interested in sampling, they may help you gain the publishing rights which would be terrific.
Would you agree with people calling Bruno Mars the next Michael Jackson?
Who did he molest?
nah, idk who he is exactly but its someone who just dips into trends and styles and revivals and plays off them pretty well
like bowie KIND OF but without the pretensions
>>74582953
then Kanye is the new Bowie
do you guys think they had a feeling it was something special, not like the regular musician thinking he's made something good, but something else?
>>74582905
probably
naturally, also process it self is mostly open that means dozens if not hundreds gets familiarized with album before it is even finished. not to mention additional reception at early live shows/ singles/eps etc.
