Is there any reason not to make it a part of your listening repertoire? By what method of judging music is it NOT worthwhile?

I hope they put all of these songs on a compilation at some point rather than just leave them floating in the non-LP ether
>>74673320
>>74673412
I guess they have an album of those style songs that got canned? Would definitely like to see Sealed To Me come out
What in the absolute FUCK is this? I just listened to the first "song" and it's literally a bunch of noise. It's not even different noises. It's like the same thing repeating for three minutes. I don't understand how people can enjoy this. If the whole album is like this, I don't want any part of it. This is not a "classic" album. This is fucking noise.
Fuck off, pleb.

Stereolab
At a friend's house and they're playing Rob Zombie and talking about how good songs sound on Beats headphones. What do I do I want to die
Bonus: They were playing Metallica on Spotify and then cannibal corpse came on and they're like "what is this" and I say. "I believe it's cannibal corpse" and then they make fun of me for knowing what it is
Then go on to claim they have a wider musical spectrum Because they listen to rap.
What do I do? This is real

ITT: Albums You've Never Listened To
I had an emotional experience while "Pictures of You" was playing. I've never brought myself to listen to the album after that.
I still haven't listened to Joanna Newsom because she's not on Spotify.
i've never listened to a death grips album because they mainly seem to be enjoyed by late teens-20something nu-males
>>74672170
But then you missed the title track from Disintegration which has a great bassline.

If not Squarepusher's Hello Everything.
I generally think Steve Albini is a good recording engineer. He's recorded a lot of my favorite albums, but how come his own Shellac recordings sound very flat in comparison?
I liked Shellac and thought highly of him as a producer when I was younger. Then I started posting on his forums. He's like an... OK guy I guess? He's not overtly stupid, but he's not intelligent either. And he's definitely a prick once he gets talking.
Being over exposed to him through those comments kinda ruined him for me as an artist. I have a lot of good memories trolling him and pissing off people on that forum though. Fucking hilarious. There's something kinda special about my ability to listen to Shellac and think "I have personally pissed that guy off on purpose online and had him rant about me."
>>74672375
Is he still active on the forums?
>>74672076
Shellac sounds abrasive because he wanted it to sound abrasive.
>>74672071
You never knew him personally
