I personally would like to allow said generals to be allowed to post in their own language as it can speed things up/clarify but that when asked they should provide some context or explanation. As I've noticed in some Dutch electionthreads some things are nigh impossible to translate.

I made several OPs where in the header is specifically stated that we would adhere to English, but some would post in Dutch and that we were always happy to provide translations.

After 100+ posts a guy replies in Dutch (ususally out off habit) and the others urge him to post in English since those threads were pretty useful. Then you could't post anymore and you knew what was gonna happen.

We lost a lot of good people during that time. People without proxies. They didn't have a chance anon.

But yeah we even dualposted for a while. It was completely random too it seemed. I assume some shills reported the threads to the mods. It was absolute cancer.

well, the thing about /b/ is that it's the "everything else" board. when there was only 20-or-so boards, it was the only thing that could all those other topics. that allowed alot of creativity because those 100 threads required some competition if they wanted to last longer than an hour

of course, with the recommendation/demand for new boards, people found their homes and /b/ became abandoned to random porn dumps. and the mods rarely play pranks like this april fools day experiment, so why bother checking it out?
