I'm more dissapointed because the initial early draft and designs WERE FUCKING COOL and involved Celestias brother as handicapped steampunk villain that gets reformed instead Tempest as well as Scorpan.

Yet it all changed once Meghan had been pushed to production assigments and writing was changed "to appease the normies" by Vogel and Hsiao who made it as generic and predictable as using "I don't even" as part of the dialogue.

It's a sweet and well-crafted journey with a great character arc for Fizzlepop. And it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun to watch in the theater. We are incredibly fortunate to have gotten this far. I never imagined we would have a theatrical movie that was so beautifully animated and features the characters we know and love from a little pony show.

What would it even mean to you for the movie to have "soul"? I think it has a lot of heart. It might be generic in the way that every story ever has the same basic structure.

I think I saw once The Little Mermaid when I was 6 or 7 year old and I don't remember the plot(in fact,I know it because of Kingdom Hearts),it was another movie for me

this is close to that for about 20 minutes

The most surprising thing to me was that Twi tried to steal the pearl. She fucked up bad, and that's what made me really relate to her. It hurts to do something wrong and get in big trouble for it. Everyone makes mistakes, but it doesn't make them any less wrong, nor does it hurt any less to acknowledge your mistakes. It made me happy to see that in a way, Twi screwed up and was redeemed just as much as Fizzlepop was. It's something I can relate to on a really personal level and that's why I said I might cry. It's ok if the movie does or doesn't resonate with you. It's just a piece of entertainment.

I hate the premise of this villain so fucking much. Tempest is by far and away one of the worst people the show has shown, she IS the main villain of this feature. Storm King had no idea what Equestria even was until he told him what it was, not even the princesses. She sold out every single person she knew for personal gain. She turned their leaders into stone and stole their magic, the life blood that holds Equestria's fate. She enslaved or caged every pony in Canterlot, stallion mare or filly alike, into becoming her newfound boss' property. She hounded Twilight and her friends and mentally tormented her. She got away with ALL of this.

And by her own admission, did it all with a smile on her face and a skip in her step. There was no signs of regret like Discord or belief in a just cause like Starlight, Tempest delighted in being a fucking monster for selfish gains. And nothing broke through to her until the bad guy stabbed her in the back for no reason, AND had to be saved despite never having been worthy of saving by Twilight. Her redemption had nothing to do with seeing the terrible things she was doing, if Storm King had kept his promise she would keep on doing it, it was only when she had no other fucking option that she turned. And then what happens to her at the end after betraying her country, humiliating her princesses, enslaving Canterlot's people and generally being a massive cunt? She gets to go off scot free. She joins a fucking party, shoots of fireworks, and the Mane 6 treat her like everything is forgiven. Well what the hell did everyone else feel like to that while they spent three days in chains serving her while you all went off on a big fucking adventure?

She never pays up to her actions and only ever changes when it's more beneficial to her.
