Depends, are you asking for an /mlk/ thread?
Other than /k/, /mlp/ is the /k/-est board on 4chan.
that's like asking if i like freedom
Damn straight, I personally prefer swords and medieval weapons because I'm a euroboo but I won't deny I get a massive hardon for blackpowder muzzleloaders be they rifles or muskets.
Anyway, been poorfag since forever and can't really afford bullets so I pooled enough money to get a handgonne, a fully cast barrel and I've already prepped the stock. Got a .75 ball mold and all the ingredients to make some powder. Someday (ie. when I have enough money) I hope to build a wheellock pistol and ideally get some part engraved wit muh waifu
Very much. Got a few here. Since put a green laser and foregrip on the rifle.
That's one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is that the maker realizes that they're making a cheap gun that will likely be bought by a first-timer, and put that little "read manual before operating" disclaimer on there to help the user, just as we do with cars or assorted electronics.
First gun I bought after EAS was a Heritage Rough Rider .22. Beautiful gun; pain-in-the-ass to reload, though.
I want to learn gunsmithing so fucking badly
I want to reverse engineer rifles and such and make my own, better if I can. Make my own bullets and everything.
But I don't have the cash or the know-how to do it.
Anyone got any resources for the knowledge so when I do get the cash I can do something?
I want to too
Don't know too much about modern arms, but these guys sell properly cast pieces to blackpowder weapons, it's a good start I'd think
Is a solid recipe (very in depth) for blackpowder
Run some fucking laps and get those fingers off those triggers what are you? Swampland inbreds?
Do naval guns count?
>tfw saw one of those in the consignment area at a local funstore for 700$ right after I just paid bills and bought a usp
There have been days long arguments about whether or not the modern American military industrial complex could take out the pone kingdoms. For a little while there was a general about Anon explaining military history to Sunbutt. At least four or five guys on active duty post here, one of whom wrote a Mortal Kombat krossover from Korea. There have been intricate discussions about Tsar bombs. Back when Strel was alive, he'd scream about drinking horses and killing Chechens.
We're decently /k/ when we need to be.
i guess is because of strelnikov back in the day.
he was a /k/ommando, liked ponies, and his broken but funny english made him likeable.
thanks to him, /k/ and /mlp/ are good friends
plus, i bet watching a show where magical beigns do cute and innocent stuff helps to overcome the PTSD
Not that tired
I've been skipping breakfast and lunch this past week because I spent a lot more money than I thought I would on Halloween and I'm going to a Con this weekend
So that's probably not doing me any favors
Time to get into something harder
old service Jericho. Not pretty but it's slicker than a Singer sewing machine
>tfw ARs are categorized as Restricted funs in Leafland, therefore the only point in getting one is to have a cool rangetoy
Thanks for looking out for me/protecting the public from people like me, federal government. I'm sure Weed Man will make rational decisions regarded gun ownership with emotions and pandering to women and minorities playing no part whatsoever.
>tfw I live in San Fransisco
>tfw the last gun store in the entire city just closed there
>tfw having the slightest objection to commiefornia's policies is met with "facist"
>tfw it's a city that openly welcomes dangerous illegals
"tfw I'm too swamped to move out
There's that Operators roleplaying shit so people might be against an /mlk/ general. I think it should be a once in a while thing. Fill out this thread with a minimal of bumps and we'll see where it goes.
Get a real gun, you meme-tastic nigger.
Yur just jealous I was able to get one before the prices began to skyrocket.
It honestly was one of the first things I saved money for. And the 1911 was a birthday gift long in the waiting.
Ya I'm just joshin' ya.
They were sitting at ~$100 weren't they? I've been looking around and motherfuckers want $350 for that shit. Managed to snag mine up at a comfy $200. It's an okay gun. /k/ definitely exaggerates the recoil and whatnot of it. I prefer my Garand or M1A though. They're more fun to shoot and hunt with.
>tfw hunting with two buddies
>tfw all equipped with battle rifles
>tfw swiss venison
Mmm... Ethics be damned.
That dude's dead as shit right now.
I live in the fuckin UK and merely saying you want a gun in the city I live makes you an instant pariah amoung the people there like you just said "HEIL HITLER" in a crowded nursery.
Should we send a delegate to /k/? see what they think of all this? I volunteer too if anyone agrees.
Mine was $120, but it came with the sights already zeroed PLUS a trigger job, so it was a nice deal overall.
And nicer than I expected, since this one was apparently taken care of a bit more than the others.
Garand, PSL/VEPR, and maybe a fair AR are on my wishlists. But I'm too much of a poorfag right now to seriously get one any time soon.
I may get a Tokorev just for kicks though. Mostly because my LGS has actual tins of 7.62x25 surplus for $80... And I'm a sucker for the more historic and simple designs that may be a tad overrated, but still good.
Why do you NEED a gun, anon? plan on shooting up a school?
We should be glad that we have sensible, common-sense gun laws, unlike those barbaric Americans. Gun owners are all just massive pussies compensating for their tiny penises anyway :)))
I may or may not enjoy bang sticks.
It's not that much for a nuggie and like, an RIA 1911. Just save a little cash every payday.
It's not as hard as you think either. Think of it like that money is already gone, as if it were a part of the bills. and hit up pawn shops, make a low, but reasonable cash offer towards their overinflated price if you find one.
In the middle of Utah, so probably not near 99% of anyone here.
I haven't checked the dates, but some of them are in the old galvanized steel boxes. Wonder what ancient foxhole they dug it out of.
Britbong here. Can confirm. I honestly would rather live in Moscow than anywhere in England.
Damn, only1300 miles away.
Sounds Bulgarian. The 'D-Dangerous ammo" myth being kept alive keeps the prices reasonable still. Have about 2k of it through my tok and cz52 over the years. Actually sounds and feels softer than S&B new stuff.
At least they don't need to fight for their "right" to own deadly killing machines, and have the blood of children on their hands because they believe a psycho has the right to kill as many people in the most efficient way possible
Only the military and police should have guns :)))))))))))))))
>country run by liberals
Americans butthurt by the fact that the rest of the civilized world knows that guns should be tightly controlled and not handed out to any psycho who wants one
pic related, typical american going about his day
Thats from a promo of a video game of Payday. A game in which you rob banks. A game of something that is not really done too much in the USA since it is bound to fail instantly.
Enjoy the towelheads, britbong.
/k/ really IS the easiest board to-
Ah, you got four years on me as I just ETS'ed last month.
My AR15 and 1911 .45ACP
I don't have any MLP merchandise, but this is my other rifle, Mossberg Patriot, .30-06.
I should be getting the scope and the little rings to hold it in place tomorrow and my 9mm Beretta is on the way. Currently waiting for confirmation from CMP to buy a M1 Garand from them.
I can't fucking wait, the M1 Garand is a fucking thing of beauty!
Just remember: this isn't a leap year.
>Anon, no, please! We're friends 'til the end, remember?
This is the end, friend! [cocking the revolver hammer, igniting Trixie]
She's a planeswalker now?
>mfw he don't get the joke
I never saw the original Child's Play. Just the squeals and that one with the tranny.
I wouldn't mind owning a nice reliable 9mm or so. But i'm so damn cheap and i can't find any place to buy irl.
The one in the bottom is top unf
I'm thinking about killing myself with one if that counts. Anyone know where exactly in the head I should shoot myself to prevent a failed suicide. I don't want to live with a fucked up face.
>tfw so worried about exposing power level I don't own any pony merch to show off with muh guns
Anyone know where I could get some subtle pone patches I could put on a magazine pouch? Preferably something with Twily?
>tfw i will never own one of these
I need a quick and painless way out without much of a chance to come back from it. I'll probably do the gas thing since I live alone. Or take some sleeping pills and tie a bag around my head.
Glocks and their variations are only like $300. A box of ammo is $12, that gives you 50 shots.
Maintaining a gun is stupid easy, and glocks are literally designed so a braindead pig can still shoot a dindu
Why would you buy and maintain an expensive gaming computer that you never need?
Why would you buy a fancy fast car that you would never need?
Why would you buy a big screen TV that you would never need?
But it's $26 with shipping
What should I do?
>Buying a hi-point
Next you're gonna recommend a taurus.
And I told him where to find a gun for cheaper than that. Stop trying to pick a fight on the internet.
>it might not be as good as other handguns like semi automatics
Well that depends. Sure revolvers tend to have worse recoil, and they obviously have lower capacities than many guns (though the Colt 1911 is classically 7 shots, 1 up from a 6-shot revolver) and slower to reload.
But they're much easier to clean, much harder to break, much less susceptible to malfunction from dirt or shock, and you can leave them sitting for a year loaded without having to worry about magazine springs.
out of all this love for guns, I've yet to see an M14
time to fix that
Nope, buy a good pair of noise cancelling headphones, create a sweet jam list and walk down/sit on the tracks with your eyes closed. You can't come back from that they gonna need a bucket to clean you up.
>tfw no pone shit to take picture of my gun with
War of the Worlds is pone related right? They mention horses a few times in the books and in the lyrics of forever autumn
I'm not one for guns usually but I'd love a TT-33 Tokerav for nostalgia's sake.
>tfw it's not chambered in .50bmg.
A man can dream.
>buy nugget for $110 several years back
>buy spam can at the same time for $90-ish
>check online today
>all cans are $130+ and out of stock

>Go to the nearest surplus store.
>They are selling "Antique" mags for 50 bucks a piece.
>Want 9mm conversion kit for P226
>Want a Tok
>Want upper for recently purchased chink AR lower
>Want giant box of 1000 rounds of x39 for SKS that I rarely get to shoot
Being poor sucks.
I think guns are a tool: I don't feel strongly about them one way or the other, but rather care how they are used.
I don't believe I'll ever own a gun myself, but I do want as many patriotic Americans as possible to be armed so that the fourth box of liberty remains a credible threat to the government.
I'd probably forget about that if I had a gun lying around to be honest. Not that I could get a license for one.
Just trying to get a glimpse of the /k/ mentality. Is shooting a hobby/sport for the average American, or do you actually expect to use a gun in self-defence?
95% hobby 5% self defense. I don't want to kill someone, but I will if I need to. Meth addicts and pill addicts are common in my area, they will stab you even if you give them what they want, and I'm just not going to risk it.
Yes. But I really need to pick up some merch. Anything really.
They're fairly cheap for a pistol if you look around. Especially online.
$250 is around the price I've seen them go for. Ammo ain't that pricey either.
Seems almost everyone has one of these but being so cheap and so fun I can see why.
Someday I'd like to get an M1 Garand and a shotgun, something like an 870, and a Beretta 92, but other things have taken priority, like saving for a house. Also there's a lot of red tape to go through for a pistol in NY.
>bolt action rifles
Have you ever even seen a LeMat?
>being an amerifat
>being so insecure that you need a firearm to defend yourself
>You will never see daddy again
Armyfag here. I grew to like having a weapon. Primary usage will be for hunting or shooting rounds at targets which is apparently called plinking.
There will be no hesitation to shoot someone who tries to come into my home with ill intentions.
My 92F is en route to the nearest FFL and I'm waiting for the CMP before buying a M1 Garand.
If you want to look into buying a M1 Garand have a look at the link and get in touch with the CMP.
>2025 - 10

Damn I would say I don't like you but I have more pity for you than hatred.
tfw even Iceland looks down on British weapon laws.
>tfw when the one time I went to the EU I nearly got stabbed there
As a britbong I can confirm that living a life without owning Steyr AUG A1 with 508 mm barrel to put your dick inside and cum is the worst thing I can think of.
>inhalers and lotion on a battlestation
Too lazy to take a proper picture right now, so here's one of my AR from the other side of the room.
...It's kind of hidden.
Awww yeah boeeeeeee
Guns and poni are pretty much the best things.
>tfw my springer service grade was 600
>Tfw opening the box and seeing the tag with a 6 figure serial and a muzzle rating of 0 and and a TE of 2.
New cmp stock tho but since it was new I could refinish as I want. Still keep an eye out for old stock sets at funshows though.
>Firearms are a mythical thing here up north.
In Canada, you mean?
Dude, there are about 21 million guns in Canada at last estimate. Our population is just over 30 million. We are very well armed.
Right. I've actually sold my 10 rounders, I just use all 5 round PMAGs.
>more practice reloading
>all the same mags, they're cheap and work in all my rifles
>easy to "fix" if shit hits the fan
We also had this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyvink%C3%A4%C3%A4_shooting all because a childish wrestling match with his friend (which he lost) earlier that evening.
It's practically impossible to own a legal firearm here nowadays.
Stop right there criminal scum!
So it's one of those threads, eh? I'm pulling out the big guns early.
Do we have a problem here, Tasmanian? Because it looks like we might have a problem.
Right, for some reason I forgot you had a d, not an S.
To be fair though you're the only person I've seen on /k/ who has either, lucky bastard, must feel good pulling it out at the range and having everyone just gawker at it.
S is for dat Simonov. It's a big SKS. There's a guy that has one up here too, but he's not on 4chan.
There's another guy on /k/ with a PTRD, he also has a Boys, but that guy isn't on /mlp/.
I had it printed and laminated, worth it.
i tried to attach my bayonet but i'd hate to sit on my bed to have enough room to point it at my screen
6 foot reach fuck you
>i dont know if i could handle 8 foot of gun
You do not handle gun, you must become gun
They ain't cheap. I have to take a few minutes at work and turn a seater die, it's all I need right now. I'll make the rest when I need it.
I got one of those, it's in 5.56x45 with a 7" barrel and a giant muzzle brake.
Nuggets are awesome for that. Keep on the lookout anywhere that sells guns in any way, you could find a beater somewhere. Just a regular 1891/30 with the spike is spear-tier. I got an M44, folding out the bayo feels amazing. It's shorter and stuff, but it just has this character and feeling in your hands, how the weight shifts a little... Very cool.
what the fuck happened to that rifle
believe it or not, nuggets are hard to find near me, i'll probably piece one together from leftover nugget bits
i'm also trying to keep my gun intake down since moving into a mobile RV is a big limited on space
Ah, thank you master anon for your wisdom. I shall meditate on my suffering and snort gunpowder to achieve sameness
thats a big gun
Checked online, in the local stores, at gun ranges? There's lots of places to find old hidden rifles that have been hitting in the usual fudd's cabinet for like a decade or more.
online is an easy one, i think if i go into those more backwoods stores where they think if it isnt american its shit, i may be able to find one. i really dont want to pay much for it since it will be heavily modified and made to look like one of eric the reds mad max projects
Hole-in-the-wall stores can be pretty hard to find because they often don't advertize online, but they might have just the right stuff.
Ask around at the range, old gun guys often find the quaintest of places.
>Hole-in-the-wall stores can be pretty hard to find
This is why you hang out with this guy, he always knows about these places
none the less, it shouldnt be hard to find one if i stop going to the more popular places around here
Tfw no WSO for your F14
I'll take it. Honestly it isn't that great at lighting shit on fire.
It does rip shit up. I was resting it on a folded up rifle softcase; the case ended up edging up to the muzzle brake, and the blast it tore through it like tissue paper Punched a fist sized hole through both layers and the foam stuffing. Singed the edges a little bit but it didn't catch fire.
people sucking up .22 every time they're in stock really bugs me. I mean, you've got 50k in a crate at the house already, can't ya let the rest of use get our plicking/varmit/take your 10yr old cousin to the range bullets?
They're okay, finish is shit but mechanically it works. I've never really ran much through the .22WMR cylinder it came with though.
Read a lot, start kit buillds and repair stuff. Watch Forgotten Weapons. Learn to weld and lathe stuff.
How is that High Standard, I see them all the time at shows around here.
W O W L E W D
I live in PA. Tons of people hunt, competitions and classes in the area every week, lots of people carry, countless do it for fun. Little bit of everything.
Fucking canucks, send me your cheap slav shit
>941 and bug butt
Love pone, love gun. Got a couple of plushes and a decent pile of stuff. Couple of AKs, an M16A1 kit build, nuggets, Arisakas, etc. Any requests for anything? Bored and stuck in the house unless I feel like walking to the bar.
Couple of break actions around as well. I have to stop myself from just hitting the older guys up at the show and buying a bucket full of H&Rs, Iver Johnsons, and shit in old black powder rounds.
Unfortunately no PPK or even Bersa. Didn't have such a tiny dress on short notice.
Thanks. Love my 941 for more than just weeb reasons. First used gun I ever bought, required a little TLC to get pretty again. I learned more taking that thing apart over and over than I ever did with other guns. It'll always be special, even if it still stovepipes a bunch. Prob going to cave and buy new extractor parts.
Oh sorry, I am not. I am just an anon with lots of guns and pony shit. Reading faster than I react.
I see a bunch coming in from Israel these days, I may have to breakdown and buy one, but I'm not big on the rails and shy away from the polymer ones entirely.
Man I know that feel. Every Saturday there is a line at the local Walmart for people who buys up all the 9mm and 22lr rounds. I mean seriously, I want to get a decent gun that I can shoot often and cheaply while still capable of home defense, but none of that matters if the ammo is all bought up as soon as they hit the shelves.
Where do you even get to shoot those?
Actually, where can anyone shoot a gun that isn't a indoor range? I heard of people shooting in their backyard, but I assume that is because they have 10 acres to their property or something.
...a Kahr? Which model, just curious? How well does yours run?
My EDC is a CW9. In the first few hundred rounds I had a few failures to go fully into battery and a couple of failures to reset the trigger but no problems since it broke in.
9mm or .41 AE?
What weight recoil spring are you running? 16 pounds is about right in 9mm, maybe 18 if you're shooting the really hot stuff--surplus SMG ammo, etc.--and in .41, I've been told a 22 pound spring is needed just to keep it from peening the frame.
In some parts of the US there are outdoor ranges open to the public, usually run by the local state Department of Natural Resources. This time of year is the busiest for them, generally, what with deer season about to begin.
There are also private firearms clubs with private ranges, but it's very difficult to become a member--it can cost $2000 a year in dues, or more, plus being a member usually automatically commits you to work X number of days per year swapping targets in the target pits for highpower rifle competition, or cleaning up trash, etc. Plus you generally have to have several members vouch for you--you can't just walk in and say "lol I wanna shoot."
Most of the indoor ranges near me will allow rifles and can accommodate 25-50 yards indoor, which is usually fine for function check, drills, zero on some guns. Around me there are about 3 outdoor ranges that go up to 100 and 200 yards, plus the DNR maintains 100 and 50 yard ranges. I have also shot on private property, finding a spot with a backstop isn't usually the issue, it's usually noise.
A CW9 as well. I did not have any issues during the break in period, only time I've managed to get it to jam is when racking the slide as opposed using the release. It is as the manual states pretty stiff and can jam unless you rack it with authority and don't ride it forward at all. The steep feed angle and short slide travel distance are unforgiving if you slow the slide down. Other wise like it a lot, but I am finding that I want a slightly larger gun for EDC. Perfect size for t-shirt weather and in dress clothes though.
2000 grand? Sheet, for that I could join both the indoor range in Philly and both of my local outdoor ranges. You do generally need someone to vouch for you, but I have found the ROs to be pretty good about it if you don't know any members.
ah. For me the CW9 absolutely requires a holster. It's too big for pocket carry. I was thinking of maybe the CT380, though I don't have much faith in the .380 cartridge. The CT380 fits in my pockets, the CW9 is just the tiniest bit too big.
Do you find you have to stage the trigger to get decent accuracy? I have found a way of holding the CW9 so that my index finger touches the frame just a moment before the striker drops, allowing me to take a moment to align the shot. It is not, of course, as fast or as easy to do well under stress as a single action, but--
