just a regular intuos, I managed to smooth out the edged of the nib so it doesn't scratch anymore but I dunno if I can just grab a cloth with some abrasive and buff the remaining scratches. I can draw regardless of the scratches, theyre just anoying.

hmm, i'd suggest something like adhesive shelf liner. it would give a better surface than trying to sand/buff scratches. I've also heard of people using paper to cover their tablet, especially if you want a less smooth surface [it's also really cheap]

Being late is much better than not doing it at all, just don't expect getting a good grade. Let's start with the anatomy on the left.

You places the tail at the right place but with the way those shorts are, major butt crack will be showing. Either make the shorts have a tail hole, or just keep it as is. I don't know man. The head should be raised a bit higher, it makes it look like the neck is either non existent or very small. I get it, anthro and shit. That throwers angle should have more weight applied to the right leg. Trust me, I've been in track. Now to the right...

That right hind leg is all sorts of goofy, more towards the crotch area. Crotch should be more behind the thigh area. Make the line extend higher and over the groin. Shoulders don't overlap that way. The line that goes down is an armpit, not part of the shoulder. Foreleg thats throwing should be more bumpy and have more depth to it, not Popeye arms. No insult.

Shading is getting there. Try making the shadow lines go in one direction or the other, like crosshatching. They look like hairs and I personally like my ponies silky smooth. Work on your shadows more. Try drawing from life to understand shadow values accurately.

Like another anon said, look into hatching. A youtuber by the name Alphonso Dunn is an excellent pen/ink artist who does terrific hatching and crosshatching tutorials. Your lighting is great but the hatching you have right now gives the effect of a very hairy texture. I actually like the effect but I don't think that's what you were going for.

Pic related is what I'm talking about. You can make a basic square without this perspective shit but it can help.

Things to note:

>sphere that makes the head is the biggest
>vertical length of the legs from the body to the floor are about the same length as the head
>body has the smallest vertical length and is about 1.5 heads long

These are FIM proportions so there's room for experimentation. The more you experiment the more likely you'll have a few accidents that end up looking good. I can't count the number of happy accidents I've had that end up working out.

Your front facing faces look good, but your 3/4 angles are slipping. Remember cheeks don't extend outwards with an open mouth, instead they should dip inwards. If that's the cheekbone, it should be moved up more. Your necks need to be slightly thinner as well. The back of the neck shouldn't extend that far. Try making the lines for the neck parallel for head studies, it will make it look better. Horns need to be thicker. You should also use darker lines if you're going to color them in with color.

1st Apple. Bad case of big head mode. Hind legs should be smaller due to perspective, but not all that small. Her right eye lid should also be raised. Don't half ass it like in the show. If the big head is your decision and she's smirking, then ignore what I typed.

2nd Apple looks good. I feel sorry for that dead rabbit, however.

3rd Apple has very large forearms and no apple-bucking hips.

Things are looking good for you. I've seen a great improvement throughout my week here. Some minor mistakes here and there regarding anatomy and perspective, but at this point it looks fine enough to ignore and I really don't want to be a nitpicking art nazi when it comes to it. I know it's not spectacular because it's just flat colors, but I'm glad it's at least serviceable and that I learned something doing it. Thank you both. It was fairly easy, the only thing that tripped me up was figuring out how to get rid of that slightly darkened tone in the panels after I finished coloring, without fucking the colors. Eventually figured out it's the contrast. Herp.

I wonder why some artists do that? Make their whites a bit darker than just straight white? The reason's probably something simple, but like I said, I don't art. Anyway, I guess I'm done pestering the thread with my trivialities.
