6/10 episode, one of the weaker ones of the past two seasons I'd say. There just wasn't much really going on, and struggling to keep a secret isn't really a strong premise for a 22 minute episode
Pinkie struggling to keep a promise is just an odd concept to me, considering the events Green isn't Your Colour.
It makes sense in a way, if you think about how it was a much bigger secret and all but still, she was pretty much going through what Twilight was going through to a T except then she was keeping Twilight in check.
Weak episode to have as your first one I think. This Season has had some pretty mixed moments

It was nice. I do have an issue with it being Pinkie Pie who struggles to keep a secret, but a baby is pretty big and exciting news, so being forced to not even tell the father's sister about it is pretty rough. So I can understand it, but it still feels a bit contrived.
However, there also were a lot of nice scenes and details, like her being liberal with her promises. I especially liked the part where Pinkie had to come up with unorthodox delivery methods, that's very fitting for her. Reminds me of the invitations to Gummy's birthday party. The scavenge hunt with Pinkie becoming impatient was also nice.
All in all 7/10 I enjoyed it, but I'd probably rate it higher if it wasn't Pinkie who had to keep the secret. But I can see that it would work less well since pretty much only Pinkie really can act like this without being too unbelievable.

It's probably because she holds the Pinkie Promise to a higher standard than anything. With a regular promise she's just using her own discretion and morality to decide whether to keep it, but if she had made a Pinkie Promise, it wouldn't be about her having to struggle to keep it from everyone, she would just defer to the special super promise and put the secret in the back of her mind.
