I think what I miss the most is the shitwad of new original content being pumped at a relentless rate in early 2012.

Twilicorn was still not a thing and she even had a library back then. S3 still had not been compromised by a shitty movie for product placement trying to fight Monster Girl High and could have had 24 episodes.

Also, it's not really EQG's "fault" that S3 only had half the episodes.
MMC and the series itself were done in December of 2011, long before the series had anything to warrant that movie.
It's simply a common procedure with western cartoons to buy 3 seasons, the third one smaller for a new series.
