Back in 2012 this autistic fandom helpers me through the worst of my depression and loneliness. I actually made more friends and came out of my shell thanks to the encouragent offered by the show and its fandom. I'm not saying that I would've been lost without it, nor that I used it as a crutch, but it definitely helped smoothe over my transition to college.Fluttershy was my favorite pony.

Part of the charm of the show was that it was one of the most genuinely optimistic and lighthearted shows that existed when it started. But that was long ago. Season 6 is literally the opposite to a kind show, and there are much more happy shows out there right now. If that's what you were looking for, I honestly recommend We Bare Bears instead.
That being said, I love this show, and I really think it deserves all the love it gets. Look for YayPonies to watch the episodes.

Derpibooru is the biggest pony archive, E621 and other clones are insignificant.
Indeed it's the biggest, and certainly the most important pony site where the community is built on, before /mlp/ and EQD, and TheSmilingPony brags about this.
Myself I still hang in there despite being banned for defending someone about some Faust drama a while ago.
it's really hard to discern what we can say or not there, but it would be egotistical to say I'm the only one affected by the management.
- they ban artists and members on sight
- they refuse to comply with artists requests who don't want their art being posted, like all your ponies are belong to us!
- they censor posts and art that doesn't fit their views
- they throw threats on users who disagree with their views
- they leak private info about site users as a last measure
and still, the mods does not do anything when an user gets insulted or trolled, if people who do are buddies with the staff members.
That's my experience for the past four years here. they got me disgusted about the community and I left the ride a long time ago.
So let's discuss.
