For some reason cringe and autism is just really entertaining to me, especially when I experience it in real life.

Have you guys noticed that an embarrassingly large amount of pony content is just a remake of something else but with ponies?
What causes this?
I think it's because it feels easier for autists to fit in when they can relate to popular culture, but this doesn't hold true when you consider the majority of us who don't really care what people think.
Another explanation could be actual autism, a common symptom of autism is being unable to think of completely original ideas, but capable of combining things they know, hence, cringy remixes with ponies.
What do you guys think?

How do I get the passionnot for mlp but for literally anythingback? When the show first came out I was 15holy shitand that was some of the most productive, happy time in my life, and I think it was because I was driven by my sheer autistic passion for pony. I worked on my creative pursuits, I had great grades, I had a good relationship with my friends and family, and all of that has slowly faded. Things aren't worse now in any quantifiable way except for my own mental state and sometimes I feel like the slump I'm in is either a cause or a symptom of my inability to get passionate about anything in the same way I used to be about /mlp/.
I think I'm rambling a bit here, but before I got into the show I was really into other things. There was always something that managed to give me that wide, idiot grin on my face and feel like I was about full to bursting with happiness, and now I can't find anything that does that. Where'd it go? How do I get it back? Is it just part of growing up? Has the same thing happened to you? This isn't a "the show isn't good any more" thread, it's a please help I'm ready to kill myself because dying sounds like less effort than living for the next 50 or so years thread. Barring that, can we just have a sad/melancholy thread?Please be gentle, I'm lonely and tired and too anxious to sleep.
