I wouldn't take it that he hates the current show itself, he may or he may not, he just doesn't like how it's being run. And I agree, I think season 7 has been solid, but all the micromanagement going on isn't good.

Either way, it's true it would take a miracle for him to come back. It's a shame, but I don't know if we deserve him anyway.

And people still blame Jim for everything wrong with the show.

Small group of artists getting 90% of stuff done amongs themselves VS the "Hollywood" corporate structure of premise, approval, editing, approval again etc. In the latter, the end product tends to be pretty different from what the first person in the chain envisioned.

That doesn't mean the end result ends up bad, but I gather it's not very fulfilling for the writers involved when too much gets changed from their original vision.
