Too loud? You’re not sure you understand the question. You tilt your head for a second. Oh well. A captain’s job is to make sacrifices for the betterment of crew relations. You force yourself to adopt a somewhat quieter tone.

“I shall strive my utmost,” you vow. “But in the future I cannot promise to contain my enthusi-” You stop yourself before you stamp your hoof again and slowly lower it to the ground. “That is,” you say with a weary sigh. “I’ll probably be louder in the future.”

The batpony nods once and slowly opens the flap to her tent, exiting and starting to bundle up the various maps that she had selected, of varying quality, but mostly unfleshed out. Probably the biggest accumulation of Easterly cartographical information available, which is unfortunately not saying much. “I’m Silver Sextant,” she said. “Call me Sextant, and if you make the obvious joke, I will sit and pout. For hours.”

Howdy, partner!

What you see here began as a series of comedy-centric stories with the concept of an alicorn-ascended Princess Applejack trying to change a mismanaged Equestria for the better by humorously interacting with the other, quite lazy, princesses.

Not to mention a whole bunch of Changelings with nothing better to do but cause mischief.


The whole thing was set in motion by this gem:

Go do actual princess stuff, because apparently everyone else got the pamphlets mixed up or something and thinks "Princess" means "Beat cop."
