This is a project that aims to create an album of music from /mlp/. It'll be a compilation, potentially containing everything from originals, remixes, collaborations, etc. The past efforts never came to fruition, so we're trying once again. If you create music, sing, rap, create art, write lyrics, have ideas, or just want to participate, jump right in. Add yourself to the GDoc and/or please email [email protected] who you are, what you do, contact info (May include preferred email, YouTube, etc), and anything else.
>What kind of music is the album going to contain?
Basically anything is acceptable. This means complete originals, remixes, collaborations, soundscapes, etc.
>How do I submit my music/art?
Please submit a mastered/unmastered WAV or AIFF. Please upload it to a site that doesn’t compress the audio file (Like Dropbox and Mediafire. NOT Vocaroo), and then share the download link. You can also upload to OneDrive (https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=C6319434888276ED%21105. To upload, post your email in the thread or email [email protected], and we'll add you). If you don’t post in the thread, please email [email protected] so we know for sure you’re submitting something.

Yes, we can always use artists. Artwork may be needed for the album cover. individual songs, and anything else we come up with. Final versions of artwork will be submitted like music (see above).

Welcome back to BoatQuest! When we last left off, you were in the process of helping Silver Sextant learn to be more confident.
“That is a good attempt,” you say, referring to the carefully scrawled red message on the latest torpedo. “Your implication that their ship is not as good as mi- ours is particularly pleasant to me. However!” You say, and take the marker before scrawling a large message. “You must remember to bold, be confident, and never back down.” You stand back and reveal your masterpiece: FROM ARROW, WITH LOVE, plus a basic sketch of yourself, winking and pointing at the viewer.
Silver Sextant sits back on her haunches and claps lightly, nodding approvingly. “Oh, wow,” she says. “That’s a good one. Right… I think I’ve got a good one…”
You take the time to completely fill up the two torpedos, going for every mean scribble doodle, and passage of technical information that you can think of and fill into the margins. However, you’re sure that your new and improved torprudeos will not only damage any enemy you face, but also horribly demoralize them.

Rivet literally drops everything and makes her way straight towards the observation deck.
The area is surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Ponies don’t do uncomfortable, but this is more a lounge than a deck, upgraded by your party module and insanely cozy by all accounts. Two tables are in the area, one of which is designed to let five ponies sit and view the window, the other designed to seat ponies in a circle. Finally, your two crew members come and sit down. Sextant takes a squared off, careful seat, while Rivet immediately kicks back and puts her hind hooves up.
“Whassup?” She asks, and Sextant looks you expectantly.
You produce a deck of cards. “Poker,” you say. “Appaloosan Hold ‘Em. We play for CHORES.” You produce a number of paper slips, each of which has one of the unassigned tasks for now. “We’ll be doing this every week, and you get to assign the tasks to whoever you choose should you win a slip.”
“I’m not entirely certain-” Sextant starts, but you know the sound of DOUBT when you hear it, and cut her off.
“Nonsense!” You say, divvying out the chore slips. “Let’s play!”
Who wins? Who loses?

The weather factory production in Cloudsdale is impressive, to be sure, but seems to be at least somewhat modern. What was the place like in older times, and how'd winter get rolled out then? Howdy, partner!
What you see here began as a series of comedy-centric stories with the concept of an alicorn-ascended Princess Applejack trying to change a mismanaged Equestria for the better by humorously interacting with the other, quite lazy, princesses.
Not to mention a whole bunch of Changelings with nothing better to do but cause mischief.
The whole thing was set in motion by this gem:

That depends heavily on the leftover materials.
Paper and other cellulose based products would be a rarity.
There aren't enough trees for long grain pulp, grasses aren't very good, and velum even is difficult if you aren't a raider.
Cuneiform could make a comeback, there is plenty of water and soil, metal scribes are not hard to obtain.
By the same fashion, with recollectors, you could have entire memory sets being used instead.
Sort of like communicating now solely via video.
For stable ponies, they could use the Pipbucks, so they would have at least text messages.
Audio recording would be easy, whether magnetic tape or wire, on out to magic gems.
Part of me wants to say that the actual answer could be enchanted materials, sort of like a single sheet of epaper with a memory module .
Able to show or take notes of what you want with nary an issue.
Fuzzy did a bit more in Murky, using audio recorders as the new journal method, but then has Murky's journal and charcoal sticks.
Both are very precious and fragile items that survive quite well despite everything that should see them destroyed.
So it really depends on how the available resources for the region are, going back to my proof that FOE the original takes place in a 60 mile bubble.

Given the time between her childhood and attempting her... little project, Starlight Glimmer seems to have had a relatively average upbringing, though without the benefit of Celestia's School. And for such a gifted unicorn, that's something of a shame. Still, she obviously managed to pick up a thing or two without that advantage - did she have a particularly influential tutor before Ponyville, or was it all self-taught? It might behoove Twilight to learn more of her history, even if she doesn't have a past mentor like Snowfall Frost's.

It's great that Twilight's got so many friends now, and room to acknowledge them, too. Since she's got that whole spacious castle for herself and Spike, has she invited others over often? Her Canterlot friends, at least? They visited Ponyville even before she caught back up with them - who did they stay with then? Lyra seemed to have moved completely, too, maybe she put them up? In any case, Twilight would be remiss not to invite them when their time tables seem to match up.
