The 2nd /MLP/ Plays album, that’s what! Following the success of the first one, we decided that the world needs another. Like before, it will be a compilation album from the musicians of /mlp/. There is no specific genre that has to be adhered to, but there will be more guidelines to follow this time.
>What are the guidelines?
This time around, it’s been decided that the music for this album has to be pony related. “But what what does that mean!?” you may be wondering. Well, here is what we mean:
Songs need to be original or redone covers based off of the below conditions. It may be but is not limited to:
•Cover/remix of the music from the show.
•An original that is based off of a riff/motif/recognizable theme from the show
•Original piece that uses samples from the show (probably more than just one gasp at the end. Should really be part of the song)
•Original songs with pony related lyrics, like "Waifu Blues" or "All Ponies Must Be Perfect" from the last album.
•Redoing the music and lyrics to be pony related. Mr. Bones's Wild Ride (Hotel California Parody) from the last album is a good example.
•Includes /mlp/ related maymays/jokes/culture.
•No singing over instrumentals of other artists’ songs. "I Am Awesome" is an example. It would, however, be OK if the instrumental was redone.

Hi guys. Back in high school, I received mastery in my state for the piano, but then dropped the instrument entirely. After dealing with a bit of depression here in university, I checked out a hip hop artist by the name of Kid Cudi, who had recently checked himself into rehab for his depression and suicidal thoughts. I never really cared much for him, but I decided to check him out, and one of his songs The Prayer was just so beautiful. It made me a little inspired to not only keep doing art, but to also make music for the community. I'd like to get into making music for the pony people, and maybe a far off idea would maybe be even performing it at a con (not likely).
I was just wondering, what are some things that I should do/buy if I wanted to try to get started with creating music, or at least get a taste for it. My experience includes understanding chord progressions, being able to create little melodies on the spot (right hand plays on some scale while left hand plays a simple chord progression), I understand Garageband (which I guess would help ease a transition into a more useful program, I hear fl studio is one?) and I feel I would have some decent intuitive ability to put together instruments into something that sounds at least "ok". What would you recommend I do, given where I am?

So in 2017, EG is getting 3 twenty-two minute "specials" that will air straight to TV in favor of a movie. Its not confirmed, but Ishi has hinted that this does not mean no more EG movies.
Many speculate that they are testing the waters for an EG TV show, especially with the introduction of the powers in LoE.
Do you think a TV show would be successful? Would you want the current EG directors to direct it?
I think they will be able to market it to both boys and girls if they drop the MLP logo from the title and just call it Equestria Girls. At that point, it would be like an anime like Sailor Moon which is perfectly normal for guys to watch.
What do you guys think? Is a show eminent? Will it be successful?

What you see here began as a series of comedy-centric stories with the concept of an alicorn-ascended Princess Applejack trying to change a mismanaged Equestria for the better by humorously interacting with the other, quite lazy, princesses.
Not to mention a whole bunch of Changelings with nothing better to do but cause mischief.
The whole thing was set in motion by this gem:

Last time, Holiday woke up from her least restful night of sleep all week. Fitting, considering it lead into this, the final day of her quest, and also her favorite day of the year: Hearth's Warming Eve.
Realizing that it's now or never, Holiday set out to explore Hallow's Shade in search of a friend. But with most of the batpony residents asleep during the daylight hours, Holiday had few options available. One was the convenience store run by Polly Phase, a mare who seemed like she just didn't sleep, period. Despite her appearance, however, she was lucid enough to not only answer Holiday's questions about the townsponies, but also advise the struggling unicorn on where she may have the most luck finding a friend: Aside from Polly herself, who could offer Holiday a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen to her problems, Holiday's best bet might just lie with Brownie Bite, the jubilant young bat mare who'd welcomed her to Hallow's Shade and carried her to her father's hotel to spend the night.
But even with a prime candidate like Brownie in mind, Holiday has just over 12 hours left. Will that be enough to earn the friendship she so greatly needs, for the sake of both her citizenship and her cold, black heart...?

we're going to need to find a way to cleanse the dies influence, and once we have that we can literally roll to be a servant and the die will hope on that shit since its exactly what it wants. Take dad along on the ride, he cures us on the other side. Find the foal, fix him and cheese it.
so, gopher. asking for tracking trinkets or some way to cleanse the effect of a trinket since no matter what i doubt atticus wants his son back as a servant to the die still.
