when i had a "goin into cartoons" machine -this woulve been early 2012- , i used to go into my little pony (fim) A LOT and one of my fav things to do was fondle fluttershy at the Cottage . one of the great things about fondling cartoon characters is they don't fight back or struggle because they don't recognise u as a character...its like you dont exist. but let me tell you, she smelled like SHIT.. I got used to it after a while but that first moment when i smelt fluttershy up close... i was almost sick. she looks clean & nice when you see her on television but when ur there stood next to her its a different story. The machine was stolen in the end and im kinda glad. it had started to take over my life

After a couple days hiatus, I'm finally back after watching the new, for me, episode: The Cart Before the Ponies.

My immediate reaction was that its going to be shit. I don't like them shoehorning cartoon staples like cart races with parents into MLP, since so far every episode that did this had nothing to do with ponies. This one turned out to be the same, except for Rarity levitating Sweetie Bell, it was a human episode. There realy isnt a lot to talk about in this one. The song was not Ingrams best work, and im sure the lesson has been covered already.

Now with that done, the good stuff. Snips and snails was back, they should show up more, I like watching retarded ponies. Cheerilee was good and teacherly in this one too. A lot of people complained in the stickied thread that the CMC isnt doing what they are good at, but I can completely understand why they want to do something different. Like Scoot said 'I already know everything about speed.' If you are good at something, you want to try some things you arnt good at now and then to broaden your horizons, try and be good at something else for a change.

The thing I loved most about this episode though was that Starlight wasn't shown. Not because I dont like her, but that it hints at how important she is in the season. She doesn't have the time to go watch some race, she is too busy learning. Her lack of screen time also emphasises the time she is seen, the little while she is shown doing even normal tasks becomes wonderful. The thought of Starlight just standing and smiling in future episodes becomes more entertaining than watching Rarity and Rainbow Dash in this one, simply because she isnt shown now.

Overall, there was nothing bad in it, but nothing good except secondary events like cheerleader Cheerilee, and Derpy winning. Good filler episode, but not anything to really remember.

Anyone else feel that the show has turned way too adult? It felt like watching a show aimed at kids at first but these days it just feels like a fandom pleaser.

I miss the innocense and simple times when it actually felt like you were watching a childrens show.
