I've thought about this myself. A lot of the bitching about seasons 5 and 6 people do can just as easily be applied to earlier seasons. I just rewatched Seasons 1 and 2 and there were a lot of moments that made me go "damn, if that was a new episode today, /mlp/ would be bitching so hard"
