I am currently reading it, was actually updated a week ago ( FOE the Chrysalis)

My thoughts on it? Its a good story but I feel the author doesn't really know how to expand that changeling setting or in any case, doesn't know what he wants to do with it. The story is all over the place.

Without spoiling anything, there are so many plotlines and the main character suffers a really bizarre personality transformation that turns her into a super expert in psychology who can analyze everything or anyone as well as a very good combat that in my opinion comes a little abrupt and just feels like the author suddenly thought "Now she is a spy"

About the transformations, I am not sure if I like them. There was this one fight chapter that was well done, it has the MC transforming into the enemy to blend in and save her friends but that's about it. She also transforms into a pegasus to spy on someone and on a big stallion to push a car but those moments were very brief and can be counted on one hand. So yeah, not so many transformations and sometimes you even forget that she is supposed to be one and become a generic character

It's not a bad story by all means, if only a little "Naive-Protagonist-who-lost-everything-and-ventures-for-the-first-time-in-the-wasteland-making-a-new-best-friend-and-ends-up-being-a-super-soldier-kind-of-generic" but I just wish there was more actual changeling stuff or at least have the author actually think what he wants to do with his story and plot

TLDR: Average story with an unfocused plot and the only main for reading it, having a changeling as protagonist, hasn't been expanded very well by the author

There was another story with a changeling as a side character, one with the protagonist being frozen and waking up 200 years after the war (before Fo4 was a thing so was original at the time) but that changeling actually transformed into many things including a draconequus and a lot of sex innuendos. Now that I think about it, I prefer the changeling who doesn't transform versus one who fills just a fetish for the author

I forgot the name of the fic though but I wouldn't recommend it anyway
