What did /m/ think of it?
I loved the extra attention paid to jump jets on the power armors.
Paz was Carl all along

NUCLEAR
I don't know why they had to bring back Dizzy (and Meyer).

-The japanese self-insert characters were annoying as shit.
-Casper did pretty well
-Fednet makes a return
-overusage of quotes from previous films. Was kinda fun at first but later it's just becomes a hollow token.
The overall plot had the right idea, but it had too much "Animu" momments in it.

???

It's a metal gear meme
>>15865697
So who was the Traitor of Mars?
I'm not sure why they felt the need to bring back a character from the previous movie only to do nothing and die in a really stupid way.
>>15866662
That sky marshall bitch, but she was trying to frame Carl.
>>15866678
Rats Ass is a pretty stupid name though.
>>15865697
is this the one where some genius gets whacked trying to tohou fuhai his way out of a bug infestation?
>>15866678
Are you saying that all returning characters should be immune to death and vital to the plot?
In case you missed the point, people die pointlessly in the MI all the time. This has been true even in the source material and is practically a running theme. If you didn't get by the FIFTH feature length movie in the franchise, you're pretty dense.

That was Invasion.

Even the Roughnecks cartoon had some casualties. It's tough out there for a trooper.

>the need to bring back a character from the previous movie only to do nothing and die
Original plans for Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation was to cast Sgt. Zim/Clancy Brown as the male lead role that ended up being Capt. Dax/Richard Burgi and still have the Sgt. Zim character die with a sacrifice.

atleast Ice Blonde and Mech are still around for world building. Too bad there isn't any current
Any CGI nudity in this one too?
>>15867990----------No.-------
>>15865697
I don't really get how a Paul Verhoeven movie which was critical of the source material even managed to produce so many follow-ups.
>>15870164
Because it was cool and there was enough sentiment to keep it going.
>>15865697
>decent but much more better story than 2nd and 3rd movies
>good references to first movie and "good day to die!"
>badass action and suicide mission feel
>powered suits
>good animation
7.2/10

Then what's the fucking point
