Wouldn't jamming device, a bioweapon or whatever else work better than just beefed up Gundam that actually amplifies Newtype powers?

What other more effective way has there been to kill newtypes than with other newtypes?

They never developed one. Rozen Zulu's psyco jammer is fairly limited in its scope.

One that targets only newtypes? Newtype isn't a genetic thing, otherwise they would have isolated the genes responsible and it wouldn't just be something you could recreate in other people with drugs, surgery, and mental conditioning.

No. The plot of Unicorn was that the Federation feared the rise of newtypes because they were apparently taking part in a nearly century long conspiracy about usurping the future potential of newtypes.

No, you misunderstand. The Vist foundation stole the reins to the UC project and Cardeas was the one who put Banagher in the cockpit.

Newtypes were capable of remotely operating energy shielding on drones by the time of UC0092, so shooting smarter bombs or biological weapons at them has a high chance of failure given that they could just intercept those weapons and harmlessly contain them even if they couldn't just shoot them down. Jamming is a good idea, but hijacking an enemies weapon and turning it against them is just as effective. Doing so means not only removing a major advantage, but actively using it against them.

The conspiracy in Unicorn had jack shit to do with fearing the power of newtypes and everything to do with greed i.e. what the Federation heads have always been about. Laplace's Box didn't even state what a newtype would be, so there was no way for the people conspiring to have been acting out of a fear of a newtype's power in the first place. Even during and after the One Year War they didn't fear the power of newtypes, they feared Zeon using the charter as justification for further violence. The Vist Foundation also didn't steal the Unicorn or UC project and couldn't, given that they owned it (and large chunks of AE) in the first place.

Yeah this. It had nothing to do with any potential or powers of newtypes, merely them existing in the first place.
