No Gundam masters are lost. The only issue is Bandai Visual's laziness to remaster. 0080, G, and X were never remastered in the DVD era, just just re-released composite masters.

Gunbuster has always had good remasters, both on DVD and it was really early onto BDs as well.

The only actually 100% known lost /m/ master film is Eva TV ep 16. Original negative was lost so all remasters have been from the internegative.

How do you actually resync audio to videos? I tried resyncing AAC audio from another dual audio 0080 encode to a Beatrice's before in Audacity but it couldn't read AAC. What would I have to use manually sync? Mkvmerge shifter won't sync it properly too.

No, every single person with taste hates 0080's score. Single glaring flaw of an otherwise fantastic OVA. When you have fucking Kenji Kawai doing the music for your teaser trailer but not the actual show there is no excuse for synth music that shitty, especially in 1989. You could throw a brick in 80s Japan and hit a great synthesizer composer, hiring the guy whose sole other composing credit of note was for fucking Psychic Wars is inexcusable. Nice to see people coming together on this. The BD source looks surprisingly soft, I'd say DNR (there is definitely some), but 0080 was always oddly soft. I've never been able to really figure out if it was 35mm or 16mm, because the art quality is obviously league above most Gundam at that save CCA, but 0083 was always so much sharper than it. Maybe it was some low quality 35mm stock? It's not nearly as soft as say, Gunbuster's 16mm episodes, but not as sharp as its 35mm, and that was made around the same time.

I'd say 35mm simply because better overall visual quality has always been a key selling point for OVAs so it'd make no sense to skimp on film for a project that's just over 2 hours in runtime. Sunrise had also done several OVAs and at least two dedicated theatrical works by then so the producers would have had an idea on what to put their budget into.

If you want something to compare, I seem to remember footage of a colony exterior created for CCA being reused in 0080. I wanna say the colony was done in early CG or something, so they were probably pretty proud of it.
