No. Gjallarhorn sent MS to where Tekkadan is now, before, at the start of S1. With Crank & Ein. There's no threat of MAs being awakened when they are buried underground.

I don't see any logical reason why rustal wouldn't fire 2 rounds of dainslef, then send the MS/mobile workers to clean up what little is left behind. It's awful writing considering the same dainslef singlehandedly won the last conflict.

You know, I can't help but think that IBO, despite its intentions, it's actually railing against changing the status quo.

Tekkadan, fighting for that nebulous 'place to belong' where they can at least try and eke out an existence that isn't related to warfare, are dealt a hammer blow, with their leader's resolve faltering and with them being sent scampering back to the very place that they first fought for their lives.

I'm not sure McGillis ever cared about reforming Gallarhorn, I'm of the opinion of Gaelio who said he's playing the pied Piper. Ultimately what he wants is power, and he's just riding the dissatisfaction of a certain faction of Gallarhorn to get what he wants.
The thing is that quest of power served him well for most of his life. Thanks to it he acquired a position in a seven stars family, friends, a lovely wife, money. You can make a parallel with Tekkadan who also ended up acquiring everything they wanted: money, a position, a place to belong, a family.
The thing is both didn't stop there. Instead of being content with what they had, they kept craving for more. Not so much because they needed it, but because it's just what they did until now.
For me the show is basically saying "you should try to make a place in the world for yourself, just don't be too greedy or you'll lose everything".
