Found some lineart on Chinese forums and cleaned it up. Yes, I stitched them, but without resolution change.Although the mecha are very, very cool, the plot and characters of this thing are utter shit
Last one. There are still some missing: the ones that do not have decent enough scans. Also, thanks for not replying at least once, you ungrateful fucks...
Damnit, missed one.

is FMP worth getting into? theres a sequel or something coming up too isnt there?
>>13869524
To be fair, FMP came first and they haven't seriously changed the aesthetic.
>>13871023
>is FMP worth getting into
If you can handle the plot and action happenings being broken up by lighthearted silliness, absolutely. There is a new adaptation coming up, but manga installments have been coming out for ages now.
Thanks! Any chance of uploading all these in a rar/zip?
>>13869524
Ebikawa gonna Ebikawa.
>>13871023
>is FMP worth getting into?
In my opinion, no. The story is utter light novel garbage, with the mecha and political plot serving as a secondary element.
The anime is pretty much light-novel romantic comedy shenanigans. And the sequel novels (FMP Another) pander to the author's sick fetishes, with the blonde chick that always wears hot pants, and the loli in the age-inappropriate outfits.
Even the reason why the setting has "Arm Slaves" is complete cattle excrement:the special snowflake mecha use a device called "Lambda Drive", which basically turns "willpower/imagination" into actual physical force (kinda like the Green Lantern rings).
This, plus all the fancy Black Technology in the series, comes from a group of kids known as the "Whispered", (who were born at the exact same instant: December 24, 1981; 23:50 GMT) who possess this information in a semi-conscious state.
They came into existence after a Soviet ESP experiment went awry and its test subject, Sophia, gained the ability to alter reality itself. She remade history an infinite number of times until she ended up with the plot's reality
I'm mostly tolerant of silly science-fiction explanations, but this is cheating.

Doesn't sound that different from Evangelion, and plebs eat that shit right up
>>13871064
>Thanks! Any chance of uploading all these in a rar/zip?
I will post the ones in low-quality in a while. If you can help me locate those, I'll probably make a Mega upload.
>>13871096
It's all a matter of portrayal. The contrast in FMP! between the Ripped From The Headlines plot and the school rom-com shit is grating. It's like the author was trying to do two very different things in the same story.

Thanks, OP, but no thanks to you chinese faglords.
>>13871187
You're welcome.
Also, I don't think there's official art anywhere of the XM3, XM4/M4, Rk-89 'Shamrock', Rk-91 and Mistral I.
>>13871034
>FMP came first and they haven't seriously changed the aesthetic.
Bullshit. Ever since AGE, Ebikawa has altered his aesthetic considerably. The original Arbalest doesn't have that "geometric weapons/shields everywhere" the newer designs have.
>>13871251
There is artwork of the Mistral I, but it's low-res.

Can't find it on Google. I did find a 3D render of the Arcenciel and Mistral 2 on Twitter, however.
>>13871270
The "original Arbalest" also hasn't been relevant in over a decade.
It's actually kind of a weird thing for me, the tacticoolery of the newer designs fits FMP but I also like the old ones for their less blatantly human shapes feeling quite right for short, simple robots.
I also miss Arby's tail, although even the new butt has enough logic to it to be likable as well.
Arbalest and M9 didn't originally have the same legs either.
>>13871538
Nope, I still can't find a damn thing about Mistral 1 anywhere. I'm starting to believe that your information was erroneous.
Some of the ones in this image are mislabeled:
>Bushnell is Dark Bushnell
>Mistral is Mistral 2
The Gonzo anime version of Arbalest wasn't the original anyways, that was Ebikawa's first redesign, then he started doing the LN designs a couple years after the first series and they subsequently used his style in TSR (years before 00 let alone AGE).
The old anime designs were different from usual Ebikawa because he was still partly adapting Masayuki Takano's original work.
Interesting that the original Arbalest looked like the lovechild of an M9 and Codal, and that Codal has barely changed.
Obviously Savage, Savage never changes.

There is a version with two dual popup TWO-launcher rather than the mine/smoke dispensers in that illustration.

>>13871087
Nice shit taste.
more scans?
>>13871953

Considering that it's a French unit, I'd argue that those are actually HOTs or MILANs.
>>13871953
That's still a Mistral II. Never seen any of the Mistral 1.
>mine/smoke dispensers
All the illustrations that I've seen (including >>13869335, apparently), show the back pop-up launchers as missile pods.

>mfw the thing that happens after this
>>13881381
This the one you're talking about?
>>13871270
Arbalest got redesigned way before AGE was a thing. Same with most everything else. The big FMP design shifts happened when TSR came out.
>>13885924
The realization that everything that differentiates FMP designs from 00 and AGE designs is shit that Ebikawa didn't come up with to start with gave me a new level of lack of respect for him.
He's okay I guess but one hell of a one trick pony.
>>13869170
>the plot and characters of this thing are utter shit
Found the idiot.
>>13893353
High school shit is the fucking cancer of anime. If FMP was free of that, it would be a much better series and you fucking know it.
>>13896269
It's actually a welcome comedic relief in an otherwise edgy series.
That's what separates a fun ride like FMP from shit that takes itself too seriously like 00.

They got a studio now? I wonder who they partnered with.

generic and poorly done highschool shit is the cancer of anime.
>>13897828
>generic and poorly done highschool shit is the cancer of anime.
The problem is that generic shit is the majority of all highschool shit.
>>13897868
Thats true for literally everything.
The bad will always outnumber the good.
>>13897892
That doesn't mean we need more bad, even if the ratio remains the same.
>>13897908
Nor should we dismiss a series out of hand just for its setting.
