Thread hijack. It's Super /m/ahou Shoujo Wars time.

Here's what I have.
Game 1:
Sailor Moon: jewel plot
Futari wa Precure: card gimmick and jewel plot
Cardcaptor Sakura: card gimmick
Nanoha: jewel plot
Prisma Illya: card gimmick

Precure Splash star: nature theme doesn't fit, but being able to let others borrow powers works well for crossover shenanigans. Also, Cure Windy works well with CCS.

What other series work well for this game? Anything with cards or jewels is automatically in. Symphogear isn't getting in this game. S1 will be either in game 2 or 3. I want to get about 10-12 series in the game.

I would feel bad if I was just taking it, but I can do enough mental gymnastics to treat it as payment for the scan.
It will cost more than twice as much as what I'll have left over after the important stuff. I'm planning on asking Mandarake if they would be willing to extend it to the 24th, but it will still cost me a huge chunk of what I'll be receiving at that time. I'm not in the best situation financially, and I'm not willing to put that much on another person. I appreciate the offer though, I really do.

While buying cool and rare symphogear stuff is great and all I really think you should pull back a bit, it's not worth it to put yourself in an ever worsening situation by constantly spending past your budget. Sure you might miss out on some things, but Symphogear is not going anywhere. There will be more seasons, more content, and things you can buy later for the items you will miss out on now, once you have more money saved up.

Nehushtans have command grabs but I thought of Fine as the type of character with next to no mobility but great screen control, Nehushtan Chris as similar but more mobile (not as good zoning), Genjuro as the Akuma with great damage output and combos but low health, and Berbikki mainly taking cues from Hibiki's style with Rekkas and DPs and stuff.

The only character who fits the mold of what I'd consider a traditional grappler like the 'Gief is Nephilim. I don't think a fighting game is complete without at least one character churning butter.

I had put Fine as a Glacier type too, with a massive healthpool (which regenerates red health), but low mobility which is compensated for with the whips having a large reach and some Noise based attacks. Chris differs by having more speed, less health and a playstyle based more on Noise than the Nehushtan

With Genjuro, I was planning on several fighting game references, like having moves from characters like Akira from Virtua Fighter. I was also gonna put a Raging Demon in as a joke super as well, so him having a Spinning Piledriver isn't that far fetched

I feel that when making fighting games, you have to give the characters a bit of leeway in how they fight to the canon in order to give them fully fleshed out movesets

All three of Genjuro's supers I thought of are direct references to fighting games, while also being stuff he actually did. Mostly. Remember when he smashed Ver's console? Crank that up to Akuma's awesome ground smash super (that was only in SF3). The punch he used to break the massive rock as they were escaping with Ver? Sounds like a good way to get a Seichusen Godanzuki type attack. And his Shun Goku Satsu I imagine would be better if instead of cutting to black it's a really fast series showing a training montage.

I did that, but mostly stuck to things that were actually done or different creative uses for things. Genjuro is actually pretty easy to come up with moves for, since in the fight with Fine alone he had a dive punch, a command grab, a DP, and a dash attack. Plus he had a lot of times where he stomped the ground and kicked up rocks that lends itself well to a special move. Most of the characters have more than enough to build a full moveset, oftentimes only requiring going to one or two fight scenes, while others are harder. Shirabe was probably the most difficult to implement, although Maria was absolutely starved for attacks - she has a grand total of three special moves with Airgetlam and one with Gungnir. I was kind of shocked that I found the easiest and least awkward to write FIS character was Kirika, because she has the most moves and they're all rather straightforward.

Don't trust official art or the show. Depending on who drew or animated a given scene or piece of art, Tsubasa can go from washboard-tier to medium-small. The only thing that can be judged for sure is their canon measurements.

Shirabe was my favorite FIS the first time through G, because the staff didn't exactly know what Kirika's gimmick was until Zesshoushinai and Shirabe was and still is the only one of FIS trio who is remotely close to being sane.

Kaneko needs to develop the characters as individuals instead of stapling them to other characters and calling it a day.
