Aside from /v/tard bitching about muh censored costume (on the ugliest character) I'm pretty excited for it.

My main disappointment comes in the "Skell"system. I think the designs are overall pretty awesome and gameplay/flying looks fun, but it's a shame there isn't a general cockpit mode.

Stagnation isn't the right word here. Those games are out-there kinda games so they will always fulfill a certain niche interest. This isn't AAA game #XXXXX trying to pander to a mainstream audience and they don't regurgitate the same game over and over.

Xenosaga is kinda a bad game. I'm not him, but I also like it. The gameplay is slow, there are cutscenes that are super drawn out. One is 30 minutes long. The games revel in throw out terms related to mysticism, opera, future tech. That said, its super entertaining for one reason or another. Possibly the blend of mysticism and future tech and remedial philosophy 99. Also, as for Xenosaga, the series did not sell well, which is why the third game is probably the best in terms of not wasting your time and gameplay mechanics. And then there's Xenoblade, which is a huge departure from both gears and saga.

Seriously, did you just come straight from /v/ to spout your inane bullshit without even considering the context? An awful takahashi game is just going to end up like a really weird cult movie that's probably going to be entertaining to those of us who appreciate that sort of thing. I don't know if anyone has ever told you this, but Captains who explored oceans to discover new lands, as well as explorers who explored new lands explored new landscapes with literally nothing in it, so Mira being a completely open world with enormous creatures and diverse landscapes, and refugees from your own ship, as well as alien forces from the conflict that sets the exodus from Earth into motion, doesn't sound like literally nothing to me.
Again, you've made it very clear you didn't like the Xenoblade Chronicles combat system. Again, I loved it. From what I've heard from other anons who liked it, the system in X surpasses the original XC combat system in every way. That excites me. I know that anon. I was just listing off things we could be discuss now, or 6 months from now. I'm still waiting for the US release to even get started. I'm just saying that in the future when we've all had a chance to get through the plot, I fear we won't be able to discuss it, because discussions of what I am hoping will be good about the game will still be flooded with shitposters complaining about censorship, or changes. I am all hyped for XCX despite a number of disappointments in regards to the localization.

Xenogears is my number 1 game of all time, I LOVED the Xensoaga trilogy, and Xenoblade was an immensely fun game. These games have given me hundreds of hours of fun. So yeah, I am excited for XCX.
