The moonlight butterfly effect part I used was a knock-off but looked close enough to the P-Bandai version to be passable. That action base is that photo was also a knock-off called an action 'bise.' I don't know why someone would use that lame duck photo when I took better ones like this.

Well they can't, those molds aren't owned by bandai hobby, they're owned by another bandai division so they don't have acess to them (bandai's different divisions work independently of each other to the point where they are almost separate companies). Plus those molds aren't designed to be model kits ( excuse me if you meant the 3d computer models and not the molds) and most have derp faces as well anyways.

Bandai really does not do female faces well in any of their divisions.

If you wanted to improved articulation on the Mass Produced Gelgoog kit then Bandai Hobby would have to slim down the Gelgoog's proportions like they did with the Revive RX-78. I like the proportions as they are now, but if they release a revive then that's fine

They could just change the engineering. Change the skirt so it's separated like on the MG2.0. Modernize the shoulders. Yeah, the Gelgoog is limited by design, but not THAT much. The proportions could stay the same.

I really don't get this. Revive Guncannon's got traditional Gundam proportions and its articulation is fine, and the Mk-II and Qubeley both look delightfully fat/SWOLE. I guess I'm still a bit peeved at the anorexic Revive RX-78-2.

I'll soon be hand painting my first kit an HG Barbatos, I have built a few other kits with some sanding and panel lining but this will be my first painting experience.

Thinking of going with Vallejo paints. Should I bother mixing up the colours in proportions that the colour guide recommends? Or should I not bother with colour mixing and just use the single colour which is the closest approximation? I'm foreseeing that it would be quite difficult and a pain in the ass to get the paints in the proportions recommended by the guide.

Has any one here painted a Barbatos with Vallejo's? If you could, would you please share what exact colours you went with?

Also this is my first kit with an inner frame of any sort, I noticed some of the white pieces are really small and don't really have an inner face where I can clamp crocodile clips. For these small pieces is it okay to prime and paint each side with alternating coats after flipping it over b/w coats? I can't see any other way to do these pieces.
