Fulfilling one of anon's requests. Tried to also get the scene where he summons the Kogoroader, but it sacrificed the quality too much.
Whoops, fudged the "from" part.
Anyhow, new chapter.
Chapter 232 is go.
qt Viper girl was introduced in volume 25, I think, in between the "translation gap"
They're also a neat tie in to Keroro's pilot chapter, basically making it canon.
I don't like the retcon this chapter does to Kapuu though. It fits with the chapter itself (where Fuyuki meets a group of children that had befriended a Keronian-like creature that recently disappeared), but contradicts the extra content in the volume release, which gave more information about Kapuu.
It clearly wasn't supposed to be one of these robots originally.
>They're also a neat tie in to Keroro's pilot chapter
Wait, there was a pilot chapter? Is that what pic related is? I thought it just had some very early art in it.
Tired, and not the first thing that came to mind, funnily enough.
There's actually a chapter too. I haven't seen a full scan though.
>Nebula was formed from a "dark zone" that forms from the space of a destroyed planet, is probably someone that lived on said planet.
>Nebula is a collective being born of billions of souls of a destroyed, constantly-warring, planet.
Amazing how the version aimed at kids has a darker origin story.
French? Italian? Spanish?
Weird, back when Tokyopop was still publishing the manga here in the states it only took 6 months to a year max between the JP release and the English release after they had closed the gap a bit. But maybe that's how they just did things; it was one of their flagship titles.
Italian. #23 was on Feb2013, #24 on Feb2014. The French have it, still no date here.
Here's the 26th cover.
At this point, just importing volumes 22 and onward is seeming like a nice prospect here, just to have a shelf that looks complete, for one. Scans are shit hard to find, fan translations are moving like molasses, and I at least know enough JP to at least get the gist of what goes on.
I'm surprised we still haven't seen any kind of Keroro as human girls chapter. Yoshizaki Mine made the design for Kururu's Kururuko bot, but never even used it in the manga aside from a cover.
I wonder if he considers the idea too obvious and cliche, considering how common "random stuff, but as a GIRL!" is in Japan nowadays.
Maybe, but given that he drew OS/console-tans and mecha musume in the 90s and 00s especially, he seems like the kind of guy who'd be ahead of the curve on that type of thing.
In the 90s, he drew for some doujins with random videogame characters as girls. And he designed the angel XX collection based on Eva's angels. He also just drew Majora's Mask as a girl on his twitter.
It's something he does fairly often, which is why never doing it with Keroro is kind of odd.
What? Cute! Now give me some minutes to see what information is available...
It's a tie in with the game Kemono Friends, which has art by Mine Yoshizaki. The game seems to have VAs too.
Keroro - Kanae Itō
Giroro – Eriko Matsui
Tamama – Ai Maeda
Kururu – Emi Umagawa
Dororo – Juri Nagatsuma
This video shows Keroro's VA.
Pretty bad VA work though (and I don't mean just the game), it seems like she only has specific lines for some actions (starting the stage, special attack, clearing the stage) and otherwise goes with some generic "desuu" quotes.
The story of the in-game event seems to involve the standard Keroro platoon turning into human girls, rather than some alternate version of the platoon.
They go to invade the "Japari Park", but turn into human girls due to the "Sandstar" that apparently transforms all animals in that area in human girls.
When Giroro pops up later, s/he starts talking with "Atashi" and Keroro teases her about it, saying that not only her appearance, but her character changed too. In the written dialogue at least, all other platoon members keep their usual speech patterns.
Eh, it just sounds generic? It's different from her usual range, but it doesn't sound like she went for a Kumiko Watanabe impression either.
It's better than female Kururu though.
Huh. Considering the quote in this image, it seems like girl Dororo drops the samurai styled speech.
bump for waifu
I love the reaction image potential this series has.
Yes, but somehow Dororo started talking like a cliche samurai while living in the ninja village.
I've already bought games at Play-Asia without problems, although I don't know if they'd have such an old one.
I checked Play-Asia and they didn't have it. There was one copy on Ebay though.
too bad I don't like Ebay.
If worse comes to worse
your peoples come first, just Amazon.jp that shit and use a forwarding service.
Good choice of Keroro vidya, btw; it's like Klonoa in all but name, made even funnier with the fact that Kumiko voiced Klonoa before Keroro.
You're waifu a cute. But she crazy, yo.
In the manga.
I liked Sumomo's magna version more than the show's. She was cuter and it was cooler that she was just some random alien instead of a generic pop singer.
I guess I didn't try hard enough, thanks!
Voice samples for Dororo and Giroro
Dororo's entire speech style changes, dumping the samurai "de gozaru" stuff for a polite "desu ne", and "sesha" for "watakushi" (the later can be seen in her profile).
I like her voice though, and somehow Dororo changing her entire act to be more ladylike seems strangely in-character.
I like Giroro's voice too. She seems a bit too calm and collected though. I'd like to see how her VA would play an embarrassed or flustered Giroro though, rather than only serious combat lines...
>tfw no femKeroro Platoon in the show/manga
Eh, they're designed by Yoshizaki Mine and the manga is extremely episodic.
If the manga doesn't end anytime soon, I guess we'll see at least one chapter featuring them eventually.
(this picture was drawn by the artist of the Keroro Pirates manga)
Goddamn 2qt. Really hope to see more art of female Keroro and Kululu (particularly nerding out on the former and being freaky
maybe even lewdly soon the latter)
Thinking about it, I guess Giroro might have gotten white hair rather than red because if we eventually get a female Garuru, they both can share that white hair color and visually resemble each other.
Do you have anymore Keroro Gunso webms?
Female Giroro seems to be the favorite in fanart for the girl versions. Kind of expected this though after seeing her design and watching her story introduction in the game - she starts acting feminine very quickly, but keeps denying it, which leads to many scenes where she's a total joke, while also being really cute, like Keroro bullying her about pulling her skirt and her being red while talking with the player later on.
>which leads to many scenes where she's a total joke, while also being really cute, like Keroro bullying her about pulling her skirt and her being red while talking with the player later on.
kek, it's even noticeable in the art in >>12390784 there, but a little lewder:
>What color could Giroko-chan's panties be today~?
>I told you, stop pulling!
