Is your boner for SEED ever gonna subside?
I get if u made the opening of Cross Ange a tribute to SEED, but now this shit is just getting embarrassing to watch.
Hahaha, are you shitting me?
Dragon is an actual fucking word, what would give you the idea that turning it into an acronym would be a good idea?
These threads are going to be so fucking fun to keep track of, without exposing myself directly to the train wreck.
>For fuck's sakes, its a dragon, its a goddamn dragon, you do not need to make a goddamn acronym for it, just call it a dragon.
This is... wow. It's going to be amazing seeing how this all ends up.
how bad was the new episode?
holy shit, reminds me of muv luv lasers
Really? I'd say all the ones in SEED and Destiny were complete nonsense where this at least makes some sense. It's entirely unnecessary and dumb as hell to do it, but the actual words chosen for the acronym all make sense given their function in show and flow at least vaguely smoothly unlike anything in SEED or Destiny.
I'm just gonna leave this here
You can't not watch this. It's just too fucking terrible to not watch.
It couldn't be any better if it was a parody of Fukuda's work.
Just open your mind, watch the show, and try not to get too
What's bonus fucked up about this bit of random Fukuda Acronym, is that it ALMOST WORKS. Unlike every other time he's pulled an acronym out of his ass.
If he'd used "Neotype", it actually would have made sense as an acronym.
No no, it's ANOTHER acronym within the acronym.
Has Fukuda finally broken /m/?
I knew exactly where that scene was going the moment the girl started smiling because I've seen Muv-Luv and /m/ was calling it the moment she was added to the website.
Yes. And it's amazing.
Why do you put yourselves through more?
Eagerly awaiting subs for some laughter.
So, is this seriously going to be a thing, where she gets raped/molested every episode?
If it is, I'm totally down for that.
OF COURSE, they had to censor the good bits
The DRAGONs are former humans.
I actually like the set up; it's like Oz with Dragons and Robots and shit.
The Dragon fighting gives a narrative purpose to the Girls in prison antics of the main cast and we have the royal intrigue background.
Actually no, Call of the Wild, it's more Call of the Wild than Oz; but then again Call of the Wild was thematically a prison story anyway.
>Sieging at Lagrange points
>Not Sieging everywhere you can
It would be awesome if they really didn't dawdle on the characters' interactions, and just get on with the setting and narrative. It seems that Ange's nobility background is important, as she probably would deal with that later.
It's already great to see an anime about dragons vs. mechas, but noooo we need human drama, so let's try even more!
>Billy Madison opening
>I'm not a nigger, you nigger!
>Captain, you gotta stop fisting girls. Your automail just can't keep up!
>This like one of my Quidittch games!
>Fuck your pudding!
>Please rape in the designated rape area.
>Captain a best.
>Now listen to this soft J-Pop as this girl gets torn in half
>Ange complaining about nearly getting raped in the episode pv
This show just keeps delivering
The fact that they keep referencing for funs the rape in the previews proves it's the first Sunrise anime intentionally unintentionally comedic.
Cross Ange is actually a masterpiece comedy show.
I would sell my
for a screencap of this thread
Guys! Mecha Talk is looking at this topic!
>2 people thought it was rape
Mecha Talk says it is rape! They never disagree on anything since they're so hiveminded on everything, so it must be the universal decision there!
It really isn't.
It's more fun than
But the point stands.
>Admin confirms for being pervy
I thought the MT stereotype was a joke.
I'll be honest, I was cringing the whole way through it. It is so vapid, so heavy-handed, and such a concentrated stream of transparent tropes, contrivances, and fanservice, with a bunch of Fukuda's leftovers from SEED mixed in. The character designs are sexy, sure, but the unrelenting flow of ass shots and lesbian hikinks just kinda kills it.
Character is everything, without characters setting is just a sourcebook and actin is just meat smashing meat. You go full Michael Bay if you don't CARE about the people.
The good thing about Speculative Fiction is that you can easily externalize character beats . Like Zuko in ATLA or Luke in Star Wars or Peter in Spectacular Spider-Man. Having her skills at dragon saying grow with her new status quo, having her become jaded, confronting her with her own inner evil, her first rape, making her friends, loosing her friends, etc. Adds levity to the Gee Whiz robot stuff.
The lesbian hijinks make sense though, it's basically prison gayness plus battlefield anxiety. I'd be surprised if girls aprisoned in a dick-less place having to wage war against dragons everyday until they die DIDN'T turn into pussy monsters.
You have some skewed expectations, man.
>It is so vapid, so heavy-handed, and such a concentrated stream of transparent tropes, contrivances, and fanservice
That's why we watch it.
It's a retarded cliché storm.
Okay, I understand.
Since you're trying to determine the relationship between the setting and the character, let's go back to the show and begin from there.
To my knowledge, it's been established that the show tends toward constructivism, that a character is constructed by the society which she belongs to. During episode 2 it's stated by numerous other characters that if Ange is still a stubborn fool attached to her previous life, she won't last long there. Since her background seems to be important, it's to be expected that she'll deal with the royalty and her previous 'human' society sooner or later (unless they daringly want to make a deliberate plothole like all the bullshit with 3rd Galactic Empire in VVV). Yet, her stubbornness as to persist with the 'division' within herself will reinforce herself, interactively as a source for her willpower. This seems to be her path as a heroine.
It would be pretty boring if it turns out to be another UNDERSTANDING. Like, the magical kingdom got trashed by the drag-I mean DRAGONs, then the Normas become heroines, saving humans, then they fight side-by-side with the normal humans, etc. Like, the plot twist is that the reason 'normal humans' could use magic is because they use DRAGON not-Lavos corrupted energy source, and thus making DRAGON endlessly invade the kingdom, and this greed will bring about their downfall, turns out the robot is the salvation, this is the future of our times, etc.
This show is gonna be so much fun to drop every week.
It looks like some kinda person if you look at just the blood. It has a big head though.
>tfw I just came over from
>tfw that music will never not be associated with anything other than
Pony Thread Simulators
PTSis the only reason why I'm here at all on /m/ or on 4chan
Just watched it
...honestly, episode 2 wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. That girl dying will probably break her more than the abuse ever would.
I always associated it with Moobase Alpha
...it's kinda like in Hentai...when the male MC cums and it about 200 gallons of pure Nippon jizz. (example: 2nd episode of Witch and Tentacle) I think all fluids in anime characters has to be around at least 500 psi.
The left screenshot reminds me of Shin Asuka for some reason.
