I love visors with really thin slits. They always look really menacing.

2 eyes for good guys (green or blue).

Monoeye for bad guys (yellow or red).

I hate mouths on robots, especially when they function like human mouths instead of just remaining static & just a cosmetic detail.

Vents I don't mind, but I prefer without them.

Depends on the robot.

If it's a sentient being (Transformers and the like) faces are totally fine, a-okay.

If it's simply a machine that's piloted, I don't want faces at all. I like visors, cameras, all that jazz. The closest thing I like to a face on my machines is the Gundam face, but only for high-end/custom machines.

I love everything except mouth faces.

If I love the show enough I can get past it, for example Big O and Gurren.

But anything with a mouth or nose is bound to be less loved for me, I enjoy Getter Robo 1, Gigantor, and Mazinger, but feel subpar about Giant Robo or sentai robots with the mouths.

I don't know, maybe I'm just weird. The greatest sin for me is stuff like Bayformers Prime's mouth, hate that look.

No facial features at all, simply visors, whether they be like the Flag (which has the eyes at the top but whatever) or GM-style, they're the best.

not too sure. i like mouthless designs, for the most part, and visors. but it has to fit the body, which is why i like the types of heads that are on top of transformers and brave series robots, for the most part. but if i could have any kind of robot head, it'd be a gm head. i like the visor/monoeye design of it alot.

this, i kinda grew tired of mechs with heads. as there's really no reason for mechs to have highly aesthetically decorated head for their purposes. cameras and sensors and what not, will work even if they're not fitted in some overly elaborated art piece. a simple dome would do

The entire thing (beak, visor and mouthplate) is just a mask. Real face is below that. You can see the silhouette of the proper eyes behind the visor.

I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to mecha faces, but I hate noses and mouths on mecha. If it has a face like a person, there better be a goddamn reason.

Like, Eva Units get a pass on mouths because they are actually organic. But other than that, the only time I can think of that a mech had a human face and I didn't hate it was the Big O, and that was mainly because it fit the batman gothic style of the atmosphere of the show.

Masked/unmasked faces are okay.
Monoeyes are pretty cool. The Du-gong sound when it activates helps.
Visors are dumb, especially the giant ugly ones they slap on GMs, Jegans, ReZels and the like.
