Hi /m/. Now that Anime Sols has started uploading new stuff regularly again, let's see if we can get it ripped and made available for everyone like we've done before.

The stuff that's already been ripped is available via torrents here:
http://www.nyaa.se/?page=search&cats=0_0&filter=0&term=surf

and some of the older stuff is available at Mega here:
https://mega.co.nz/#F!OAFSVKDZ!eGPy9mdf0Q04c6l8V_P-LA!jY8ixCDY

There were some Sendspace/Mediafire folders set up during the last thread but they all seem to have been deleted.

What's currently unripped is the following:
Dear Brother 35-39
Black Jack 50-52
The Warrior, Gordian 1-3
Dororo 1-3
Kindaichi Returns 1-15
Goku's Adventure 1-3
Space Ace 1-3
>>
Kindaichi Returns probably has the same subs as Crunchyroll which Horrible Subs rips.
>>

Maybe.

Managed to get a system working here, so I'm ripping Space Ace at the moment.
>>
>>11142321
Yeah, would be nice of you to rip it, I tried so many proxies but can't get access to the videos.

Space Ace torrent is up.

I'll do the rest of Dear Brother and Black Jack next, I think.

Thank you very much^^

Why are you stealing from companies actually trying to localize non-shit series?
>>
>>11142758
No one's stealing anything.

First off, Anime Sols offers the streams for free, with no ads or any other form of revenue, on their site. They don't lose money from people downloading the episodes.

Second, these rips being spread around means people who don't know about Anime Sols already will learn of their projects, giving them a chance to support the series. This is free advertisement for them.

Finally, Quarkboy actually know about this ripping and has outright said he doesn't see it as a negative.

>no ads or any other form of revenue
Then how do they stay in business?
>>
>>11142800
because you pay them to subtitle stuff before they actually commit to it
>>
>>11142800
Have you even heard of the site? Up until now their business model has been to take pledges for DVD releases of these series, with the streams acting as advertisement for the content that will be on the DVDs. If the pledge goal isn't met, they'll stop subbing future episodes.

Recently they've started a second model, here they'll upload streams of 3 episodes, and then take pledges towards continuing to sub.

For both models, the streams are entirely free to watch, and act as previews for what they hope you'll be paying for. Whether you watch the episodes on their site or elsewhere doesn't make any difference for them. The streams are also region-locked to the US and Canada, meaning everyone else will need proxies or rips to watch them at all.
>>
>>11142783
Don't forget that the videos can only be viewed in USA and Canada. So by ripping them the series have a bigger audience & a higher chance of donations.
>>
>>11142839
The pledge system is unfortunately region locked too. The only way international fans can support them is by purchasing their DVD releases.
>>
>>11142800
They won't!

Dear Brother 35-39 torrent is up.

Black Jack episode 50
>>
http://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=581025

Black Jack 51

Black Jack 52
>>

Dororo is up.
>>
And to stay a bit more on-topic, here's an actual /m/ show, Gordian.

>>
And finally, Dragon Ball:

Anime Sols' Kindaichi Returns pages just host the Crunchyroll stream, so that one's covered by HorribleSubs already.

So you think some of these will manage to succeed? Dororo seems to be doing pretty well.
>>
>>11146718
I'm fairly sure Dororo will succeed.
